Amazing place to just chill, or take a boat for the day or longer...we’ll looked after and a lovely restaurant on site reasonably priced.

Excellent place to stay. Friendly staff, plenty of amenities, reasonably priced and clean. We ate both nights at the Waveney Inn and the food was delicious, and again the staff were very good. If you want to hire a boat then its probbest to book in advance

Lovely stay in a beautiful setting, lucky with the weather and being able to make full use of all the activities ... swimming, canoeing, foot ferry and the good food at the Inn.

Excellent facilities, the restaurant was great. Staff were accomodating and polite. Great place to stay, unfortunately the weather didn't permit us to go kayaking but I'm sure there will be a next time!

It's a decent place but the plots are very close together and there's not alot to do on site. Thankfully we didn't go for a fishing plot as the fishing area was overgrown and unmaintained.

Unfortunately the canoeing we booked got cancelled because of weather. We stayed in the pub in room called engine room. Everything good room good standard. Had evening meal and breakfast in pub ,both excellent. Would stop again; hoping for better weather next time.

It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the campsite and we really enjoyed our stay. Great site with great facilities. All Covid precautions in place so much safer to have a U.K. trip at this time to a place like this

The lodge was very clean & tiny and we didn’t have any complaints. The hot tub was amazing and a real treat to soak in. The dogs enjoyed there stay and local walks. We very much enjoyed the area and would return again.

Stayed for 4 nights in the Port Room which was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the young lady who served us breakfast every morning (sorry I didn't get your name). The food in the Waveney Inn was very good and priced well and again the waiter was very good. The surroundings were obviously beautiful and peaceful and well kept.

Stayed here camping for 10 days during COVID and all the winds in August 2020. Staff was worth their weight in gold, and couldn't do any more to help. Always poppy their head around the pitches to make sure all was ok. The areas where kept clean and the washing and showers etc were constantly cleaned. Nice touch with the shower rooms as these are en-suite style with under floor heating. Would highly recommend and will defo be returning.

We camped for 3 nights over Aug Bank Holiday and the site itself was lovely and in such a great location. The biggest nuisance we had whilst there were the Wasps - literally everywhere. I was stung within 30mins of arriving and was constantly worried about my 3yr old son and dog who kept snapping at them - that said, I don't know what site management were doing to address the issue, they may have been working hard at it behind the scenes - but we saw no signs of pest control. We didn't realise until we arrived that the onsite shop was permanently closed ( due to Covid ) - had we known we would've stopped at a supermarket on the way in. There was a small kiosk open but the supplies were very limited - as were the opening times, opening at 9am on a camp site seems late to me with most campers being early risers. (?) I had read reviews of the ground being tough for camping and indeed we also found this to be the case. The ground wasn't too hard as such, but very rocky. We bent half a dozen pegs trying to get the tent up and really struggled to find ground we could penetrate. So good quality, hard wearing pegs are a must. That said, the pitch was very generous in size - we had a good sized 2 roomed tent, a gazebo and the car, comfortably. The electric hook up was ideal ( although the designated plugs seem to be on the wrong side of the pitch, farthest away from the tent ). The childrens play area was great, the swimming pool was lovely and managed Covid very well. The toilets, showers and washing and laundry facilities were top notch and the Waveney Inn was exactly as you would expect from a gastro pub - although prior to our visit I had tried for 4 days to ring the pub to book a table for the night we arrived. There was never an answer and the mailbox was full, so unable to leave a message. I emailed via the contact us form on the website and still have not had any reply. Luckily, I walked to the pub as soon as we arrived and was able to book in. Views were great from all around the site. We hired a boat for a day which was great fun despite the awful weather... Overall, we would return to WRC without much hesitation, but with better tent pegs and armed for wasps.
