Ripping people off, due to bad condition bodywork I rented a car there, via Booking.com, at the (indeed) ridiculous price of around 20€ for 7 days. However I cannot say I am pleased with the working ethos from the people / the division of Wiber at Mallorca Airport. When picking up the car, I had to find ánd check it on defaults all by myself on the very dark parking lot (it was dark already). To be sure that afterwards there could not be a default that's not mine, I photographed the car entirely. Luckily I'd read the mail and paper from Wiber, that says that photos must be uploaded within 2 hours after picking up the car; the man from Wiber told me nothing about this! (in my thought it's also a stupid rule and foul way of trying to make extra money if people don't upload pictures within 2 hours, as digital pictures always have date and hour of recording in their details). Picking up a car in the dark isn't a good idea, as it would turn out later... When bringing back the car, the man responsible for the transaction made no fuss at all about the defaults I had found, photographed, and emailed within the 2 hours on the day of picking up (among them a lot of nasty resin spots on the lacquer of the car). However, he very soon 'found' a scratch in a black door rubber, as if it has been there like for ages (in other words; he knew what he was looking for). A scratch in a black door rubber, which was unseen by me in the dark (of course...), and which was not noticeable on the pictures I made, because of the dark (again)... That the superficial scratch in fact doesn't really matter for the water sealing, as it was not through the rubber, the Wiber man would not hear it. That I must pay something for that, I can accept, as I paid only around 20€ for renting the car, and now there's an (innocent) scratch. When the man told me that the 'cheapest' price for this is 174€, I was shocked. When telling him that I know there's no way Wiber will replace the rubber for this superficial scratch, the man laughed, turned around and want away to his computer... That it's costing me 174€ (especially for something they won't repair), and there's no guarantee that the company will report it in the files for future people who rent the car, is harder for me to accept. That is because I feel treated in an injustice way, and feel that it's gonna happen to other people too in the future, at the Wiber division at Mallorca Airport... After already renting several cars at other rental services in the past, also for ridiculous low prices per week, it's the first time that I have such a bad experience and such bad feeling afterwards. When sending my thoughts / complaints to the main Wiber office, they only replied that I can pass the documents to my own insurance company if I have an Omnium Insurance (all damages covered), which I have not. Renting at Wiber leaves me with a cheated feeling...

422 € fraud with fictitious repair costs and existing damage at Wiber Mallorca. Booking Wiber Mallorca 81673703: When returning the car, an employee immediately discovered 3 damages to the doors due to possible burglary. Only due to a video recording I could prove that a damage visible from the outside already existed before the rent and thus the employee could not charge me for this damage. The other two damages, which look identical and also look the same age from weathering, were charged to me at a fictitious and overpriced price. It was done in a very amateurish manner and the focus of the employee was to settle the charges. The fact that I had a time constraint to catch the flight with my 4 month old daughter was thus shamelessly exploited and coerced into accepting the charges. The employee may be earning a commission for such trumped up damages and may charge again for these known damages every time I rent. This can be confirmed based on the 1147 negative user experience: https://trustpilot.com/review/wiberrentacar.com?languages=all&stars=1 https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g187462-d18277278-r917557210-Wiber_Palma_Mallorca_Airport-Majorca_Balearic_Islands.html https://www.ocu.org/reclamar/lista-reclamaciones-publicas/reclamacion-publica?referenceid=CPTES00698599-05 I expect feedback from an authorized person soon to correct this shameless practice. I will warn other users about this so you do not fall victim to this scam and contact other aggrieved parties, which are listed here: https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g187462-d18277278-r917557210-Wiber_Palma_Mallorca_Airport-Majorca_Balearic_Islands.html

AVOID AVOID. Careful or you will pay dearly. I made your reservation through Rental Cars and purchased comprehensive insurance with them but was required to leave a deposit of 1400 euro with Wiper. On arrival to collect the car I was told told by the agent that when a customer books through an external company, they are required to leave the corresponding excess fee to cover potential damages to the vehicle during the rental period, and refunds are managed with Rental cars by the customer. I was offered an alternative to take out 'Top Cover' insurance with Wiber despite the fact that Rentalcars.com clearly markets a full insurance add on on their site making the consumer think that all is covered. This is false adverting, is it legal? I opted to leave the deposit of 1400 Euro and on reading the horror stories on this I guess I was lucky to only get scammed on the fuel. I returned the car with a full tank and was told everything was in order by the agent. Next day, I got an email stating that the tank was not full and they would be charging me approximately 11.21 euro for the fuel. Then, I get another another email stating they would be deducting a 15 Euro admin charge for this. Go with a company that doesn't overcharge their customers with these tricks. Your credit card will suffer. .

We used Wiber Malaga twice within a month and found the experience to be far better than other Car Hire companies . However on the second occasion when we were being picked up by the shuttle driver at Malaga Airport we experienced the most offensive, rude and aggressive driver. Clearly a racist as he would not communicate with with me but wanted to only speak to my wife who is White British whilst I am Asian British. We complained immediately to the agent upon arriving at their office and also showed him a picture of the offensive man and he reassured us that the matter would be raised with his manager. However we heard nothing more. On our return home I emailed the office to make an official complaint and indicated I would not post any reviews until I had given them the opportunity to formally respond. Two weeks on and we still have had no acknowledgement hence this review.

PLEASE don’t use this company!! The staff at Alicante are all about meeting their sales targets and will make sure they get it! Doesn’t matter if you’ve uploaded prior damage to the vehicle via their QR code, because when you return it, the uploaded photos aren’t there! They tried to charge us in excess of €600, ! ! Absolute scam of a company. Please be AWARE.

I must say, this is such a lovely little company. It's very different from the big car rental companys. For starters you start of by going on a 10 min ride on a lovely little shuttle bus. This is a great way to start your holiday, I mean who would want the rental company to be located at the actual airport? No, this is a much better way of doing things. The scenic routes on Mallorca is just great, but you're not taking the scenic route, nope, this is a stretch on the highway before exiting and finding you're way down some shady industrial area. Once there you get dumped outside a small building with lots of check in counters inside. This part actually went quite smooth, right up until the lovely little lady behind the counter tried her very best to sell you all the insurances you can think of. At this point I would recommend you to contact a lawyer who can help you navigate through this jungle that the check-in lady takes you on. Anyway, you probably already have your insurance sorted out so you're good to go, but the little check-in lady will more than likely have you think otherwise, that youre insurance isn't sufficient and that you really should buy her insurance too. I mean, who wouldn't want to pay twice for insurance? It's stuff like this that makes me all warm and cozy. Once you have macheted your way out of Insurance Jungle, you get handed the keys to your, actually, almost new Peugeot. The little check-in lady do tell you at the last minute that this particular vehicle has some damages on it, but they are registered. That's a good thing, the bad thing is that I have to drive around in a beat up car with scratches on the side of the, pretty much, entire passenger side door and rear passenger door. But who cares about that anyway? Oh, I almost forgot and this one is an important one, the little check-in lady is very clear on that you are obliged to take photos of the car before driving off, this is a great way of documenting any damage on your lovely, all ready, scratched car. Although I'm not a hundred percent sure that Wiber is aware of this, even though it is a sun drenched island, the sun do set even on Mallorca, which makes documenting car paint, quite tricky. But hey, I'm up for a challenge, I started off by making my way around the car, filming the entire thing. Followed by photographing every square cm of the car, or so I thought I did, but we'll get back to that later on. One thing to remember is that Wiber will charge you for any scratch or ding larger than 2cm, keep that in mind. So after this Hollywood moment with cameras in bad lighting in a parking lot, we were off to the hotel. Now keep in mind that I am a car guy, or at least if you ask my wife and people who knows me. This makes me prone to take care of the car in driving and really cautious when, let's say, park the car, I usually try to find a parking spot at the end of parking lot, where I can only have another car on one side of my car, this will minimise the risk of some random car door accidentally swing open in to my fresh and crisp car paint, except from if it would happen on the passenger side, with those nasty dents and scratches that the car came with from lovely Wiber. Actually I think you could have rammed it with a Sherman tank at full blast, and you wouldn't have seen any difference. Not sure about that off course, but it seems likely. Driving this car for a week did make me have to reevaluate my thoughts on French cars, this was actually a lovely little car, perfect for Mallorcas small streets and winding roads. So after taken good care of this little red car for a week, it was time to return it to Wiber at the Airport drop off, which isn't located at the airport. Once there a lovely man, too bad I can't remember his name, met us at the parking lot with a big and friendly smile on his face and broke out his little detective kit, if you stayed completely silent, you could almost hear the Theme song from C.S.I playing, and went over the car with the finest of all combs. He really should concider a career change, I think his exemplary skills could be put to better work somewhere else rather than wasting it on a little car rental company. Anyway, it took him literally seconds to find a tiny scratch on the rear bumper, seconds! This was not a good thing he proclaimed, one thing that was good though was that I could show the young gentleman my movie photage. He wasn't all convinced when I showed him the movie but after taking a screenshot and then blowing it up a bit, even he after some muttering, agreed that the damage was already there when we picked up the car that dark evening a week ago. I think, but I'm not sure, this made him even more ambitious with his hawk eyes, after several turns around the car, without finding any faults, he did what any sane person would do, he focused his attention to where the front bumper turns under the car, and there it was, a paint chip! I once again brought out my trusty surveillance photage and was just about to show Mr. Detective that this also was there when we got the car. But sadly I hadn't filmed all the way down, almost under the bumper, where this little scratch could be seen, even though larger than 2cm, I'd say it was as large as humongous 3cm by 0.5cm, so Mr. Detective is not wrong in any way. Since I couldn't present any evidence proving my innocence, I happily followed my newfound friend to his little computer where he explained that this little scratch would cost me 140€ and would be deducted from the 700€ deposit I payed up front when picking up the car. With a big smile on my face I hopped on the cute little shuttle bus and off to the airport we went.

Horrible, stay away from Wiber. Terrible pick up and drop off and have to wait for hours to get a shuttle, I lost my flight. Also, they are a racket!! They hold 800 bucks as a security deposit in case there are any damages in the car. They hold the right to determine as to whether any damages were incurred during your trip. When you drop off the car, they find any possible way to determine that the car was damaged and they move to discount from your $800.00 which they already have since since it was charged as a security deposit. They claimed I had scratched the bumper slightly as there was a slight discoloration from the way the car was delivered. They discounted $250.00 bucks w/out any way for me to challenge them. DO NOT BOOK W WIBER!! They are the cheapest rental car, but they will make their money back on the return and it will end up costing you more than if you rent from Europe Car or SIXT or any of the other globally-known companies that we usually see at airports.

I tried to contact them during the day without success, they are not very reactive! Then they charged us an extra cost (40€) due our delayed flight that arrives after 23:00. After the pick-up at the airport, the employee was "nice" untill we rejected the full extra coverage, after that she was unpleasant. The car was waiting outside absolutely dirty, no control of the outside was done, they literally gave us the key and said: good luck. The car had a faulty glass cleaner and no glass liquid which was not comfortable under rain weather. At the end nothing happened to the car and the check-out was quick and smooth, 🙏

Disaster company. At first they are not at airport. U must to drive to the office about 10 minutes! I didnt knew where I should go, so i call to callcenter. Girl said i need to wait near outside of airport. I did. Nobody came to pick up me. I called three times and everytime she said more 15 minutes. 4th-10th times she didnt picked up the phone. I got the pannick. Finally after 1 hour i found place where comes mini-bus and took passengers. There were about 40 people. In one small bus are places just for 8 people. Just 4th driver took me with. So after 90 minutes i was finally at the office (22:30 h). There guy lied to me that i must to buy full insurance. I said i bought by rentalcars. He asked me If I know how hard to become money from RentalCars if something will happening. He said also that RentalCars are not serious company. Sure i didnt pay insurance twice. The day when I back with the car to the office Wiber guy saw long scratch on the doors. This scratch was very hard to see, just from one angle. It was no situation to get this scratch, but OK, I had no proofs. Maybe these scratch Wiber is using to get money from every client. It would not be surprise. WIBER company is very unprofessional.

What a set of cowboys! I booked a car in July for Valencia tomorrow. On the 01st August I confirmed all my documentation on the 01st August and received an email back that afternoon confirming everything ready for my arrival on 22nd August all documentation received. Yesterday I get an email asking me to confirm my documentation. I emailed them of course they were closed. This morning I called Valencia they have not received any documentation and are cancelling my booking and refunding my money. Guess what they are fully booked for tomorrow. What a coincidence. But the man kept saying he is very sorry and put the phone down on me.

We had exactly the same experience as the previous reviewer and I won’t waste my time reiterating what that said, it’s all true. The following are all 1 star reviews, who’s not listening? We are in our late 60’s and seasoned travellers having lived, worked and travelled abroad since the 1970s. Wiber are by far the worst car hire company that we have ever experienced in 45 years and I fail to understand why other review sites are showing 5 stars. If you don’t take their CDW insurance out they will go over your car with a fine tooth comb on return and your credit card will be charged. We realised on arrival that we needed to extend by a few hours and were reassured at collection that if we called them, maybe 10 days into a 14 day rental that it would be easy to extend and that we would get the best renewal price then. It proved impossible to contact them by phone or email to extend the rental period by a few hours. We drove back to the airport to see if we could extend, but apparently because we booked it with Booking.com we needed to speak to them not Wiber! I tried that too, that didn’t work! Anyway, we ended up taking the car back to the airport a day early (having paid for 2 lots of CDW insurance, theirs and our UK one). To cut a long saga short, we decided to take a deep breath, dump the car and cut our losses. It just wasn’t worth the hassle, we were on holiday! So we caught a taxi into Palma, had a lovely lunch, caught a bus back to Sol de Mallorca and paid for another taxi back to the airport the following day. Wiber car rental, never again! Positively a most aggressive, frustrating and expensive experience. If I could be bothered, I would seriously considering denouncing them to the local police. We won’t be hiring a car at all next time we visit the island. The local bus service was brilliant.

Argus Car hire and price seemed great. The car was supplied through Wiber. When we made the booking we had 5pm as a return time. When we collected the car we explained that it showed 5pm but we had meant to put in 7pm as our flight was just before 10pm. The chap at collection said that was no problem as he could amend the time on the system to 7pm, which apparently he could do as we had booked through Argus Car Hire but he said had we booked direct he wouldn’t have been able to. Chap seemed very friendly, told us all about his new born baby and family, where he was from etc. There is a heavy sales approach in terms of extra insurance being sold to cover the €800 excess. We had already taken out excess insurance through Axa when we hired via Argus Car Hire but we were told it did not cover us for tyres, chips to paint work etc which is incorrect and it did cover us. The chap also told us that so many of their cars get fines for paint chips so we really needed their insurance. Again we didn’t as our insurance covered us but they sell it so hard that I would understand why a lot of people would get worried and just end up buying it out of fear. So be careful that you don’t end up buying more car insurance from them if you have already done it. Overall service was ok except the sales pitch for insurance. The day before we were due to return we decided to stay one more night. We Tried to contact customer service to ask if we could extend the car rental and that is where the nightmare begins. Firstly if you email them you get a response that says they will respond within 15 days! We emailed again but the second time you don’t get any response. Considering most people have holidays of less than 15 days, email contact is therefore not possible. The telephone line is a nightmare, it just cuts you off and you can’t speak to anyone. We had to try over 20 times until someone finally answered the phone. Instantly they sounded annoyed that they had to actually speak to a person. Said no straight away that we couldn’t extend and if we wanted another car we would have to drive back to the airport and make a new booking to get a car. So we said that would not suitable and would just return the car at 7pm. This is when you realise you have to be really careful with this company. The supervisor told us that we had have the car back at 5pm, refused to speak to the person that had checked the car out to us (even though he was in the office she refused to speak to him), said he had not amended the time and denied he could have done that even though the chap had told us it is what he had done as we had booked via a third party, (and unfortunately we believed him as appeared honest and friendly) supervisor told us if we were even a minute past 5pm, we would be charged for another day (even though she said we couldn’t have the car for another day!), that it was illegal to have car a minute later than the check out time, the car would be uninsured, and then just put the phone down. She was very threatening. So be really careful with the times you put for return and don’t risk being a minute late as you will be treated very aggressively, read your contract again in full before signing even if they verbally tell you something as they don’t reflect what they say on the contract and act friendly so you genuinely believe they are doing what they say. It is worrying that the supervisor says that if a car is returned even a minute late it is illegal and uninsured!. I have hired cars all over the world and I have never seen a car company be so aggressive, as whilst I have not been late returning cars I do understand that people can get delayed/lost etc. The supervisor did not care at all that we were going to have to spend 5 hours at an airport due to her refusal to even ask the chap who had checked out the car to us whether it should have been 7pm. But the main reason I wouldn’t use them is if you were unfortunate to need assistance there is no customer service, you will have to ring so many times until someone finally answers a phone, and they are aggressive and clearly annoyed when you do speak to them. The supervisor is shocking, threatening and will just put the phone down on you, so obviously that behaviour then reflects on the team. I really don’t know how this person is in a management position! They really hard sell insurance but go as far as trying to scare people into buying it. We were so upset with how we were treated we ended up dropping the car back at midday and paying for a taxi to bring us back to our hotel so wouldn’t have to spend 5 hours at the airport and also have the worry of dealing with this company before our flight home.

Rubbish company, waited the shuttle for 2 hours in the airport. The driver didn’t care who were there first, everyone just rushes to the small shuttle. Even we were on the seats, the driver kick us off coz we don’t speak spanish. Don’t ever try to use this company. After getting the car, the staff said it’s full tank, but fuel tank is almost empty. Rubbish!

Is it possible to give a zero star? Rented a car from them and had my flight change. Attended the office in person to ask for an extension of drop off time by 4 hours the next day after the rental, the operative took my car keys, checked my return time and they confirmed. I have to pay nothing with €0.00 showing on the screen. Arrived UK received a receipt that i have been charged extra €51 for dropping the car off late, and 10 days after my trip my €800 deposit is still not in my account

Incredibly disorganized operations. Waited over 1.5 hours for shuttle to transport us during May 1st , 23 weekend. 2 shuttles working where 5 shuttles available. Drivers favoriting spanish speaking clients over foreigners. No method to choosing of whom to transport. After 1.5 hours of waiting, there were still about 15 people waiting to be transported and new people arriving every minute. We took taxi to their offices, where the employee didnt offer any excuse or apology in this matter. No refund of the taxi charge. Their call center offered no service either. Picked an old, abused car with about 40000 km on odometer. Was told it had full tank of petrol but it only had 50%. There was no washer fluid in the car either. Please avoid at all cost.

The worst rentalcars I never used Never lived a such dramatic customer experience. An arrognat young employee treat me bad then demand my excuse otherwise he wouldn't have given me the car. No possible talk with a manager! Then two colleagues help her! I was forced to say that I would go to the police to get my car. Over this a car not similar to the one booked, old of 48.000 km, and if you make a scratch of 2 mm (yes millimeters!) you have to pay! A nightmare Date of experience: April 22, 2023

Malaga, we rent a car early April 2023. Very bad experience. From the very beginning, the Wiber operator tried to offer us additional services to the rental, saying that we needed all-inclusive insurance, that the basic rate covered almost nothing in case of damage, problems with the car, etc. The intent was clear; increase the profitability of the rental service. When the car was returned, the operator, seeing that we had accidental damage insurance (with no deductible), made sure to identify any damage to the car right from the start. The car, during our rental, was not damaged, yet the operator found a defect in the rim that was already there previously and charged 121 euros for the damage. Unfortunately we didn't have any detail photos of that point and so we were charged 121 euros. The operator said that in any case the insurance would have reimbursed that sum. In any case, it is clear that it is a legalized theft, a fraud against customers / or insurance companies to increase the rental business revenues. Terrible! Advice: avoid this rental service or at least have the car inspected perfectly. Any small damage, even previous (if in the absence of evidence) will be charged to your credit card to increase the profitability of the rental. So take a thousand pictures and videos of the car before and after! These services are now like low cost flights, they advertise that everything costs little at the beginning, but in the end you pay much more than initially thought! It should be added that in the basic insurance, in the event of an accident, roadside assistance is not even included in the basic package! Shame!
