“You have to dig deep to find quality. I miss the old times when the customer was put first. Now you spend lots of money, and they don't even offer a bag to carry out. You have to pay for a costly bag that they sell in-store to enhance their profit. It is a big scam dressed as eco-friendly. It is greenwashing. I went to another store carrying my shopping in my hands, and they saw my situation and offered me a bag for free.”
“Winners purchasing managers must have been changed. They used to have nice clothes but fit the past few months is becoming like a cheap store and not that many options. By changing the way they are operating they will lose customers.”
“For online shopping with winners there is a huge variety of articles which is amazing however on delivery the lorry had no fridge so all the ice creams delivered to me melted, same for the frozen samousas, boulettes and meats :(”
“The clothes and underwear at Winners are of the poorest quality I've ever experienced purchasing. Every single pair of underwear I've purchased here has unraveled. I've bought underwear for other stores of supposedly lesser quality that has lasted me for many years without issue. I'll be buying my clothing from giant tiger and walmart from now on.”
“I absolutely LOVE Winners, but I HATE that every time I go there, I run into a damn dog. I have a huge phobia/fear of dogs. It is absolutely disgusting that they allow an animal in a store. VERY unsanitary and disrespectful to those who hate dogs. Makes me think twice before stepping foot into Winners for that reason alone. Otherwise I absolutely love that store!!”
“I had a jacket that I purchased for around $50 from Winners last month. After attempting to return the item because there were rips in the sleeves, they refused to take the item back. I guess their policy is to never take things back that have been worn. If this is true, then the measure of a clothing item's quality would never be known. My family comes from a clothing retail background, and this would never have been an issue. The item could simply be returned to the company, and the retail outlet would be reimbursed. What happened to the idea that a customer comes first? I'm one amongst you that when I see something like this happen - even after spending large sums of money at chosen companies I refuse to go back. I wonder if these companies know that customers built up one at a time can easily be lost the same way - never to return again. I advise looking into the store's return policy before ever walking into the store.”
“The employees don't look overly happy at the Ottawa location. They look drained. I asked the girl at the counter if I could speak to the general manager about a issue she replied "hes not here very often, but I can call a supervisor" I found that very odd an employee would say their main manager isn't in the store often. Made me question why the employees looked very drained and tired. My interaction with the Male supervisor was unpleasant he was very snarky and snickering with a gay like additude. There was a issue with my receipt I just wanted rectified. Needless to say I left the store questioning the way they run a business. In the end another girl behind the cash helped with the issue I came in for. Not the manager or supervisor a young girl figured it out. This place left a bad empression, like everything was disorganized and stressed out staff.i think I'll try a different winners from now on.”
