“Started using my vest day 1. Only issue I have is it’s hard to get the weight plates to sit in the dead center. Will probably put a piece of rubber on the plates to hold in the exact spot. But even off center it’s hard to notice 99% of the time. So could just be part of my OCD.”

“The plate carrier arrived expeditiously, and appears to be constructed solidly, with durable materials and stitching. I’ve used it for only a short period thus far so I can’t comment on longevity. Hook-and-loop adjustments with snaps on the shoulder straps as well as hook-and-loop panels on the back and front of the vest (cummerbund-type straps surround the waist) allow for a custom fit that holds weight securely against the body. I performed handstand pushups and the vest surprisingly, mostly retained its position and slid only slightly toward my head. I was using 20lbs; perhaps heavier weight would cause it to move more. Performing one-legged burpees with a TRX (a lot of vigorous movement) did not cause the vest to jump around on my body, it stayed firmly in place. Ample padding in the shoulders and on the interior of the torso sections cushion the weight and make it as comfortable as putting extra weight on your body could be. My movement was mostly unimpeded—I could squat without thighs hitting the bottom of the vest, perform pull ups, pushups, curls, overhead presses with full articulation and no rubbing. The only exercise in which I experience rubbing against my upper bicep is the TRX “hip-throw,” which requires reaching across the chest toward the body’s midline. I have to adjust my technique and remain cognizant to avoid chafing. I’m not sure the manufacturer would be able to cut the vest further toward midline and still be able to fit weight plates. This might just be an inevitability of plate carriers. I purchased curved plates and highly recommend them. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I’ve only had it for a short duration and can’t give it a complete review without putting it through months of various rigors, and also because Wolf didn’t include any instructions or links to helpful videos for adjusting it. They point users to a video of someone who reviews the merits of an older version of the vest, and its not clear whether it is professional Wolf content or just some random guy. A Wolf video specifically explaining how to use the newer vest would be helpful. Adding the weighted vest has certainly intensified my bodyweight workouts and I’m psyched for the new challenge. My stats for fit reference are: male, 6 ft, 180 lbs.”

“I upgraded from a 20 lb sand vest and absolutely love this 35 lb extremely well made tactical like vest! It looks badass, it fits badass and I like that each piece of iron is 2.5. I like that this vest is nice and short so it doesn't fit like a jacket. Everything is very very strong all the way from the velcro to the buckle to the secure pockets for the iron blocks(which have a very nice wolf tactical imprint on them as well which is cool). I love that there is a place for my own customized patches, I bought some and I love being able to fit at least two on at a time. The wolf tactical velcro patch is very cool though and I don't mind sporting it! My only single complaint was that I had to buy a separate phone case holder that attaches (not perfectly)to the vest from Amazon. I wish there was one built into this vest then it would be a 5 out of 5 for sure. I don't need a place for headphones or for water. But I do need a place for my phone. I would like to see someone hang up the vest somewhere using these little plastic rings, I actually use that to hang my keys, but it just seems like plastic might not hold 35 lb? I don't know I haven't tried it. And I didn't really know what to hang it to either. So I'm curious how to hang this vest up. Right now it just sits in the back of my truck but if I wanted to it would be nice to be able to hang it up like on some kind of special heavy duty tactical vest holder. Thanks for making such great product!”

“I would give it a 5 but haven't had a chance to try out the new weighted training vest I got. The simple weighted vest with plates is great though. Use it all the time. Also, the support at wolf tactical is awesome. I had trouble receiving my shipment and they immediately sent me a new one as soon as I emailed them. Freaking awesome! Highly recommend. “Product arrived quickly and packaged well. Would highly recommend sturdier stitching on smaller tabs of the vest. One tab nearly ripped off putting the plates in. Not built like an IOTV, but wears well for running. Padding and overall design are outstanding.”

“I think the vest is good quality. However, the shipping date was later than advertised (for standard shipping). I understand I have to consider business days only. Nevertheless, I had to contact customer service to follow up. I appreciate the fact that it arrived by UPS, though, which is a big plus.”
