“Love the product but extremely disappointed on how it comes packaged when ordering 100' rolls! Website shows on a nice spool, however I receive it jammed in a boxed twisted and tangled or just loosely wrapped on a cheep cardboard tube jammed in a box!”

“Gasket didn’t work on my fireplace xtrordinair. Woodstove said it did. Wasted close to $50. Installed gasket and door wouldn’t close. Researched further and found the right gasket. Upon further checking found that the same gasket comes up no matter what you put in their search bar. Wouldn’t trust their website again”

“The rope gasket material for the doors of my 30 yr old Konya heat fire place measured 3/16" quite small. I ordered the 3/16 gasket kit from wood stove and found it to be to soft for the application. Returning the product proved to be cumbersome.”

“Was looking and working great for the first few days, then walked in one afternoon from work and it was split almost down the middle. Probably need different type of glass. Live and learn.”

Hey Tim, It sounds like an installation issue. If the glass is installed too tightly - too firm, the when the metal expands it can put the glass in a bind because cause it to crack. If you look at the point of origin of the break i would bet that it originates from where a screw or holding bracket is. The ceramic glass you purchased is the correct glass. Mike

“Product appeared well & arrived quickly. On piece of glass cracked during first fire, but nonetheless I was able to burn during sub zero winter weather without issue. I have not had time to attempt to reach out for replacement.”

Todd, Sorry about your glass cracking. That is typically do to an installation issue. That happens when the glass is installed too tightly.

“We purchased a gasket kit. The adhesive that came with it was so hard to get out and once the gasket was placed the door is almost impossible to shut. We will be removing it and looking elsewhere to purchase a better product. We now only use the side door for fear we won’t be able to close the front door. Terribly disappointed.”

Sorry to hear that. The gasket cement needs to be meaded in the tube - not sure if you followed these instructions or not. We keep up on the gasket cement using new fresh stock, but not to say that there might not be a bad one in the bunch. Sorry it didnt work out. Mike

Dusty, after speaking to you on the phone, we had determined that you have ordered the incorrect type of glass. You had ordered tempered glass when you needed ceramic (high temp) glass. The installation of an incorrect product will lead to its breaking. Im sure the new replacement ceramic glass will perform as it should.

You ordered a 5/8" rope gasket seal which is for a door. You did not order a glass gasket. If you need a glass tape gasket then you have to order that with your glass.

Michael sounds like the glass is not sealed properly. I see that a new gasket was not ordered. This is most likely the issue.

“I ordered a piece of glass for my Lopi 380/440 stove. It came very quickly but did not fit my door opening. I called and they were very friendly and willing to help but said I would be charged to send it back to re cut it. Luckily I have access to a waterjet so I was able to get it cut to make it fit. Overall nice people it seemed but not impressed by the product.”

I'm sorry you were disappointed by the product. Hopefully for some clarification and for future reference, if a glass is ordered wrong, then we have the customer cover cost of shipping for a replacement glass. If we made an error in making the glass or sending the incorrect glass, then we will cover the cost of shipping for a replacement. I'm glad you were able to figure out a solution though!

Emily, That is a symptom of the glass being installed too tightly. If you watch our installation video it will help in this process. We do offer a one time replacement for 1/2 off if you would like to take advantage of this offer, just contact us.
