These reviews are what I am experiencing. The company is a joke. What the reviews are saying are so true. They never phone back when they say and head office do nothing. The company is a joke

Told as my clubs were standard they should be in within 2 weeks max, 7 weeks later told they were on their way to shop and guaranteed delivery 3 days ago...... Same the following day and same today, still not in. Was lied to upon purchasing and then multiple times since. Never shopping there again. My fault really as i said never again when i got my first set fitted by them, then went to ping a month later after not feeling they were right and ping said they were 2 degrees upright and should have been 2 degrees down, 4 degrees out is alot in the world of golf!

I was given a gift card at the start of the pandemic lockdown, it was put to one side as all the outlets were closed, unfortunately it was forgotten, having found it American Golf are refusing to honour it as it has now expired. So American Golf have trousered £80.00 pound for supplying nothing, so why do the gift cards have an expiry date when the card is undated? My advice never buy a gift card from these people their actions smack of sharp practice

If I could use a minus I would! Ordered irons, a bag and glove. Received an email advising items dispatched followed by an email advising refund being processed as irons out of stock. Called customer service who promised it was a mistake and all items had been dispatched. 3 times they were asked I'd it was ALL items. Next day.....bag and glove arrived but NO CLUBS! Called again to complain and complaints department is the same as the customer service. No offer of an alternative and wouldn't admit we had been lied to! Will never buy from them again. Customer Service is worse than appalling and the staff are patronising and rude.

The worst business I have ever dealt with. Placed an order custom fit irons and fold up to 6 weeks. 12.5 weeks later and still no order or any update. Failed to even speak to me, told me they would call and never do, ignore emails. I can’t believe how badly they treat a customer…

Had a problem with a trolley that developed a fault after just a handful of uses. Had to return at my own expense for them to repair which took ages. Nobody contacted me I had to chase often. Finally got the trolley back and it broke again after one use. Still waiting for a resolution. Terrible customer service and blatantly ignoring consumer rights and UK law when it comes to purchases. I’ve had a lot of positive experiences with American Golf in the past but never again.

I ordered a club for a very important birthday and paid for Saturday delivery. This did not arrive until the Tuesday which then missed the occasion purchased for. I did not get any delivery notices until the day after it was delivered. The driver also knocked and then left it outside our house - luckily I was upstairs so managed to bring it into the house to safety before it had the chance to be stolen. I called customer services on the Monday re late delivery but no one got back in touch. I have tried to call for my delivery to be refunded - but they were shut at 16.10pm on a Friday although the lines state they are open 9am-5pm mon to friday. A very disappointing experience and I would not recommend buying from them online. I still have yet to hear from anyone so I shall try again tomorrow I guess. 1 STAR given and that is being generous!

Do not use website. I ordered 2 trousers and top 3 days after order told by confusing email that both trousers were not in stock. Called direct and they have no idea what stock they have. Go to shop direct.

DO NOT PART WITH YOUR MONEY ON CUSTOM FIT CLUBS Ordered a set of clubs from AG Trafford, specifically asked lead-time and was told 6 weeks but more likely 4. I asked for interest free credit and they replied we cannot offer that at the moment as we are changing banks, so paid cash. Within a few days was told delivery will now be 12 weeks, so I asked for my money back and was told no. AVOID IF HAVING CUSTOM FIT CLUBS

Would strongly recommend not using this company, I ordered a set of custom fit clubs, there was 4 packages, only 3 got delivered to which they were left outside my front door and not there when I got home.. they was weeks late on the delivery with no info one when they were arriving so I could arrange for anyone to be home. Since contacting them they have just told me it’s not their problem and I should call the police as they delivered them to as what they deem a safe place. Absolutely shocking customer service and dealing with vile rude people over the phone. They have further lies saying all clubs were there when DPD added a photo of 3 packages at my front door not 4!

Twice in a month I have tried to purchase golf shoes from online store and twice order has been cancelled with no explanation. I had to contact them to be told not in stock please update website. Very unprofessional

Ordered a pair of golf shoes, only 1 pair left it said, only to be refunded the money back to my PayPal account, then when I went back into the site the shoes were still there only more expensive, so looked at the black ones the same they were cheaper so ordered them ! Same again money refunded back into account, when looking back on site they were still there only more expensive again, won't entertain them again, just trying to reel you in to pay more 😡

Ordered custom fit Mizuno on 15th January paid in full up front and was told 6 to 8 weeks delivery on week 8 was told they didn’t have the shafts now being told 1 to 5 weeks delivery for different shafts. Had to chase them up as no information provided throughout process. Very poor service wouldn’t use again.

Ordered custom golf clubs which 2 weeks after they were meant to arrive I have been told that they can't get them and will not issue a refund or store credit. They state that I will just have to wait.

I flew in to London in early October 2021 especially to order get measured up for my new Mizuno irons from American Golf. I was measured up and duly parted with my £1.1k and told that the clubs will take up to 12 weeks to arrive. Today, we are in February, and after much chasing (with very little response from AG) I was told it was down for an April/May delivery!!! What’s more unbelievable is the fact that even though they were paid ‘Up Front’ there is absolutely zero feedback or follow up information from them to me whatsoever and that’s the concerning factor. I have written them a stern email asking either for a confirmed date, discount or money back and today, 8 days later and still awaiting a response from them. I would urge anyone who is wanting made to measure clubs to think twice about AG, and never pay the clubs up front. They are looking like a sham, and sorry to say it but I am concerned that AG are driving toward administration again…… Give me my clubs and be professional AG, absolutely shocking customer service

Anyone can hit the keyboard and say bad things. My Driver cracked so I ordered a new one at Christmas is a bad time to order it’s not coming from Ping for a long time but praise for the guys at Peterborough store they have loaned me there demo. Thanks guys great service. 👏👏👏👏

I ordered a item or my son spend over £500 to be told it was delivered by dpd I never received it, dpd said it was left on my doorstep no photo of it but have tracking of van been in the area American golf will do nothing to help

Condescending customer service and lack of knowledge. Called to check the sizing of golf shoes that wanted to order. Specifically asked if that particular brand was true to size. Was told yes they were so I ordered on next day delivery. Duly received but they are nowhere near the correct size with my toes crushed against the end of the shoe. I call back to try and resolve the issue as I'm now out of pocket and without golf shoes to be told "that's your fault for ordering the wrong size". I've now got to send the shoes back at my own expense. Double whammy on delivery costs. Will be the last time I order from them and I suggest that if you need golf gear then go elswhere where they know more and you get a better service.

First of all, I’d like to state that I’ve had a lot of positive experiences with American Golf and staff. But only when it comes to apparel. I’ll only ever use them for that again. In June I got some vouchers for my birthday and decided to go get fitted for some irons and buy a set, through the 0% interest finance they offer. The fitting went okay. It was mostly positive. I got to try many of the golf clubs and it appeared the fitter didn’t push me towards any brands. He also suggested going for shafts that with me being a new golfer, won’t grow out of in 6 months time. Another positive but also ironic. I ended up opting for the Ping G425s. The Mizuno JPX 921s felt just as good to me. I could happily have used both but I was told the lead times for the Mizunos were longer. Why ironic? Because I have been through delay after delay. I was made aware there was a bit of a back log and it could be as late as early September. Fair enough. Good to be told up front. About 5 days or a week before the clubs were meant ti have been ready, I got a call saying they will be delayed until early-mid October. I called early to mid October enquiring. I was then told it would be late October. I was told that the short delay would be a positive as it must mean they are on the verge of going in to production if not already. The day before the clubs were meant to be at their warehouse, I got another phone call. Mid December now. An addition 5 to 6 weeks on top of that short delay as they are pretty much in production. Understandably I was extremely unhappy with this. I asked to just cancel the order. I’ve paid over half the cost of the clubs. I could have put that cash I was paying on finance away each month, sold my existing clubs and picked a set up off the shelf because my fitting was just about identical to many I’ve come across on those shelves. But I can’t cancel the order because they’ve already given Ping the money to manufacture supposedly and supposedly they can’t get that cash back. I asked to speak to a manager. Not able to do that but they’ll speak to one for me. What good is that? I put in an official complaint to American Golf. Got an email back right away saying they’ll look in to it and get in touch with the store. After that all I got was a passed on vague update from the store that the order is processing. Nothing else other than another email stating that the case is now closed. Useless. Save up. Pay a local professional for a fitting. They won’t take your cash and then treat you with contempt. I was hoping to start building my set a step at a time from American Golf along with 2 of my friends. They’ve now been told to avoid them like the plague. Keep focusing on quick cash ins American Golf and you’ll be flirting with administration again unfortunately
