“DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM ASDA/GEORGE
Placed an order for two beds, asda took my money straight away and gave me a date three weeks in the future for the beds to be delivered by.
No further communication received.
I contacted Asda customer services (based in the Philippines) on the last date of the delivery period.
Customer services is a joke: they can't speak English, and are quite clearly reading from a very infuriating script. They had no idea where my order was, blamed the couriers or the supplier. I spoke to a manager who told me he would chase down my order and get back to me in 24hours. Completely lied to me, no contact was made and when I phoned back, nothing regarding my order had been looked into.
Hoping that something can be resolved but I will not be ordering from Asda again and I am very glad I paid through PayPal and by credit card, so I can force a refund if my goods don't show up soon!!”
“I went to asda today the castrol edge oil was 10 pound 6 months now its 14.20 its disgusting to price that high in that amount of time on e bay its 10 pound won't be using asda again its getting to dear”
“I like asda online shopping as they keep you updated on your delivery and let you know if the driver will be late or early. Should this be inconvenient they just deliver at the time you asked for. The only thing I don't like is the substitution are sometimes bad. I was actually charged more for a substitution product when I thought I would be charged the price of the product ordered. The drivers are always nice”

“Gang of youths sitting at the side of the shop ON UPTURNED ASDA TROLLIES smoking drugs and verbally abusing passers-by, I go into Asda and ask for security...he's gone home !!! So I tell the lady on customer services what the problem is and say I want to see the manager:"It's not really Asda's property; they sort of know about it". The manager COULDN'T BE BOTHERED to come and talk to me, so Asda, by their inaction, CONDONE YOUTHS TAKING DRUGS ! Right next to their shop and sitting on Asda trollies ! I did phone the Police, I wonder if they could be bothered to do anything ???”
“Most of my orders over the past 16 months have had stuff missing or substituted. The excuse being that the pickers pick the goods at 3 a.m. in the morning (even though my delivery is always between 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the evening) and that the shelves aren't re-stocked by 3 a.m. so I either get poor quality fresh produce or none at all, so then I have to go elsewhere to purchase what I ordered from Asda. I never ever get the fish I order, it is ALWAYS substituted for smoked fish. Not satisfied with Asda at all. Very bad management system that allows this to continually happen. This week I ordered 3 jumbo spring onions but instead I got 3 sad looking normal sized spring onions (and I still got the smoked fish instead of the normal fish I ordered). Appalling service. Abysmal.”
“Friendly approachable staff. I queried about a question on child car seats on the click and collect and the lady explained what happens. Was helpful, polite. Lots of value for money. I ended up buying more then what I originally went in for”
“I paid on the self service checkout and the lady came straight over to check everything was ok and was so jolly when I left saying "have a lovely day, bye!" this really made me smile. All the staff seemed so happy and friendly really makes a difference !! Plus prices are great here!”

“Asda orders are usual wrong somewhere along the line, on one occasion a bag of dairy products was covered in dried chocolate milk - who puts that in bag for delivery? On another occasion even though there was enough room on my side of the road the driver insisted on parking on the other side and putting our groceries in the gutter. The last straw was when we were waiting for a delivery between 8pm and 10pm on a Friday and the driver rang at 9.25pm to say he wouldn't be coming (no 'I might be late' etc.), then proceeded to give me a number to call to sort it out myself!!! When I rang them I received a scripted apology and all they could offer was to message the warehouse to get them to ring me to rearrange the delivery. No one called on the Saturday, I rang again and was told that as they had sent a message to the warehouse they couldn't do anything else. Still nothing on the Sunday (we had wanted most of the delivery for a BBQ Sunday afternoon - so had to run around getting the items we needed). When I rang to cancel the order they were back to the script and asked if they could do anything else to help - always a joke. I emailed a complaint to Asda directly and got back a standard reply which did not answer any questions about why and offered me a free delivery (never used). I closed my account and deleted their app from my devises. I will never have a delivery from them again. They obviously do not care about customer service at all.”
