I’ve lost over 400 euros because they tell the buyer about their Buyers Protection Policy if you don’t get a delivery, you have to pay for this too! Three deliveries did not arrive and I had to pay. It’s ridiculous how they do business! I have read many similar reviews. I just wish I did my homework prior to using there very untrustworthy site.

Purchased item. Never delivered stopped tracking after the 17th of February 2026. I realized that with weather and distance it would be slow. I waited 30 days to ask for help. No help offered, they had paid out the seller. They know when a package was delivered as they have a banner on the sale page asking. I never reported it as delivered. They charge for "Buyer Protection" They did nothing to protect my payment. The response I got was telling me I waited too long. I did not know there was a time limit on asking for help. Would not trust this company......

ik heb meerdre keren spullen gekocht via catawiki en dat ging vrijwel altijd goed. Onlangs iets gekocht dat zodanig slecht verpakt was door de verzender dat dit defect aangekomen was (terwijl het nog wel een metalen voorwerp was). Omdat het pakket, na veel vertraging door de verzender, in mijn vakantie was aangekomen was ik volgens catawiki te laat met mijn klacht. Op de foto die ik geleverd had van de ondermaatse verpakking en het defecte voorwerp was duidelijk te zien dat de fout bij de verzender lag. Maar daar werd over heen gestapt en alleen vermeld dat de klacht te laat was binnen gekomen en daarom ongegrond werd verklaard. Vervolgens werd mijn review over de klachtafhandeling door catawiki verwijderd, daar willen ze alleen maar goed nieuws hebben en mag blijkbaar niet duidelijk worden hoe gemakkelijk ze zich van een klacht afmaken. Catawiki plaatst geen kritische reviews Ondanks mijn bewijs met foto's van meerdere mankementen aan het product wordt mijn review verwijderd en niet meer geplaatst. Een review die op een nette manier geschreven vertelt dat de verkoper bewuste mankementen heeft verzwegen en ook niet heeft gefotografeerd. Ik hoef helemaal geen geld terug maar wil wel graag andere kopers waarschuwen voor deze malafide verkoper. Maar dat mag niet, alleen positieve beoordelingen worden geplaatst, zo als, "goed verpakt" of "snel verzonden". De hele site staat er vol mee. Dus al die lachende gezichtjes bij de reviews hebben geen enkele waarde. Want veel boze gezichtjes zou omzet verlies kunnen betekenen. Ook de z.g.n. koperbescherming stelt niets voor en is alleen kassa voor het platform.

I received a damaged item , I fulfilled ALL of Catawiki`s jump through hoop requirements and was told my complaint had been dropped as I didn't send required documents in time, although I had. The seller didn't even reply to my messages ! NOT SURPRISING THEIR FEEDBACK RATING IS APPALING AS THEIR SERVICE. Buyer beware.

You get a bracelet, i would be new with certifat. Nothing, the lock was broken. But in stead off helping. You pay 9 percent byer security, there was only send it back. The costs, nobody talks about. No they are cheaters !!!!

Zero customer service, you have no chance to get in touch with a representative, all is automated. I bought very expensive necklace that does not correspond to the description, no reaction. I ordered 2 purses that the seller did not send, no reaction. Run away from Catawiki!!

My recent email to them-“I have received the return label today and can not send back that defective product.Due to the holidays it might take few days. I demand on you posting my negative review on the seller profile (Forever Lab Belgium)and your interfere in customers honest feedback is against any trade rules.You have given a deadline of 3 days to provide me with the return label as the seller would not communicate with me or provide with the return label for 19 days!!!!However your deadline spread to 7 days!!!!!So exactly 3 weeks I have wasted since receiving the defective product and waiting when the seller will finally bother to arrange the return shipping!!I sincerely wish you and such sellers that you back up to receive from people the same attitude you show them.And guess what-the earrings I have purchased almost the same time with the necklace have arrived today,no,let me correct-I had to go to the post to pick them as UPS ( your seller choose the company with the quality that matches their products) has left them there after,the package that was expected on 10/12/25 and today is 30/12/25!!Am I surprised that earrings are defective too?No!One of them is defective.After 3 purchases on your platform and being forced to return all the products back I figured it out.The sellers show different products on your site and send the defective ones ,that’s why they don’t set reserve price as they are happy to sell defective items pant price.And you know that and happily cover them.I couldn’t have jewels on me neither on a very important event for me on 16/12 as I was planning neither on Christmas therefore let me wish you and the sellers you back up to have disappointment as I had all your next festive seasons. I demand you let me leave the review on the seller’s profile for the defective earrings too and LV bag seller’s profile too

Aggiudicata una borsa Gucci proveniente dal Giappone. Mi chiama la dogana da Roma per dirmi che avrei potuto pagare le spese al momento della ricezione della borsa ed ho accettato. Invece la borsa torna indietro dal venditore e adesso vogliono che paghi le spese di trasporto e a distanza di 1 mese ancora non vedo soldi. Continuo a mandare messaggi senza risposta! Orribili!!! Non comprate da loro!!

Je ne recommande pas ce site. Les estimations sont trompeuses et les photos sont agrandies de manière exagérée, parfois jusqu’à 100x, ce qui ne reflète pas la réalité des objets. Soyez très vigilants. Les frais de port sont extrêmement élevés. J’ai également l’impression que certaines enchères sont artificiellement gonflées par de faux comptes afin de pousser les acheteurs à payer le prix souhaité.

I bought a diamond ring and within weeks the diamond had fallen out of- I took the setting to a jeweller who told me that it wasn’t suitable for the diamond shape. I can’t get any response from either Catawiki or the seller ( DiamondsNL) it’s a nightmare.

I purchased an expensive watch from catawiki. The watch was shipped promptly via DHL and it was picked up by the courier the next day. Since then, more than two weeks have passed and the DHL tracker hasn't been updated. I can't get any response from catawiki and the seller has no interest in helping to resolve the situation. I'm thousands of euros out of pocket and I've no idea what's happening. Catawiki's customer support appears to be non-existent.

My experience with Catawiki was a complete disaster. The seller did not ship the item within the deadline, and Catawiki itself canceled the order and refunded the payment — as expected. But unbelievably, a week after the deadline had passed, the seller decided to ship the item, and Catawiki charged me again, even though I never received the product, which was returned to the sender. The so-called “customer support” is a joke: automated responses, repeated requests for information already provided, and zero human follow-up. Every email resets the process, and no one takes responsibility. This situation shows a total lack of organization, transparency, and respect for the customer. After this experience, I will not use Catawiki again and do not recommend it to anyone.
