“I noticed that eDreams charged my credit card without my authorization and without sending me any email or notification. I did not approve this charge and was not informed in advance. I tried to contact customer service multiple times — waited on hold for over 45 minutes, and nobody picked up. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam. I demand a full refund and an explanation for how this happened. Very disappointed in the lack of support and transparency.”
“I have been a loyal eDreams customer, flying almost every month between Chisinau and Italy, but my recent experience (when I finally needed their support) has been nothing short of unacceptable.
I purchased tickets (Booking Reference 23705934244) for my family — myself, my wife, and our 8-month-old baby — from Chisinau to Milan with HiSky. The eDreams booking confirmation clearly showed that each passenger was entitled to one “hand luggage” and one “small bag”.
When we arrived at Chisinau International Airport for Flight H4 483 on 11 August 2025, the handling staff (HiSky does not even have its own staff there) refused to honour this allowance. They only allowed two of our three cabin bags to be taken as “small luggages” as a courtesy, and forced me to pay 600 MDL (30€) for the third — despite it being included in our ticket. This was only done after I expressed my frustration, and because we had an infant with us.
I immediately contacted eDreams with proof — including my booking confirmation, the official airport receipt, and the flight details. Instead of resolving the issue, they have repeatedly taken me in circles, asking the same questions over and over and replying with what are clearly standardised, AI-generated responses, rather than actually addressing the facts I provided. They have also completely ignored my repeated requests for written assurance that the same problem won’t happen on my return flight.
This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and completely avoidable if eDreams had proper communication with the airlines they sell tickets for. Instead of taking responsibility and contacting HiSky or their ground handling agent to verify the facts, they keep bouncing the matter back to me with irrelevant demands.
For a company that advertises itself as a reliable travel platform, this is deeply disappointing. If eDreams cannot guarantee that what is stated on the ticket will be honoured at the airport, why should anyone trust them with their travel plans?
If this situation is not resolved before my next flight, I will be pursuing a refund (yes, for 30€ now and whatever I might have to pay in the second flight) under EU Regulation 261/2004, EU Directive 2015/2302, and Moldovan Consumer Protection Law, and if necessary, I will take this to small claims court.
Lesson learned: I will not be booking with eDreams again unless they take immediate action to resolve this issue.”
“I was looking for a flight from Bangkok to London and wanted a premium cabin , extra baggage and a flexible ticket because I am travelling back to visit my elderly mother.
I spent a few hours online and found a flight with Norse that was reasonable through Edreams.
I have an email the next morning to call them and I spoke with a helpful lady who told me the flight was oversold and the alternative was to fly via Zurich with a 21 hour wait at Zurich. We both agreed this was not a good alternative and she was transferring me to someone else to look at two Emirates flights via Dubai
Unfortunately the call was cut and so I called back and was out through to a very rude man who spoke over me and insisted I could not transfer the flight as his colleague had suggested and my only option was to either get a refund or take the Zurich flight.
I suggested that I change my seat to economy of the premium cabin is full because I can see online through the airline the flight so still available.
He agin said he is going to refund me that was it.
Very unhelpful and a waste of time.
I now have to wait ten days for a refund.
I am now trying to call to complain and also cancel this Prime service they heavily advertise and can’t get through to anyone.
Do not recommend Edreams.”
“It was frustrating. I paid extra, but I was not able to check in. It isn't very good trying to book online. Now we don't know if we could still refund the charges. Never again try to book on this website.”
“Terrible service. They sell tickets without securing the reservation in time for departure. No immediate refund confirmation is provided—receiving an email takes at least 24 hours—and the actual reimbursement will likely take seven working days. They deny wrongdoing, yet the train operator confirmed there are hundreds of similar cases.”
“First time and last time, they sent a link for online check in that didn’t work and we have to pay in airport more than the price of our fly just for checking in. They responded very badly, we are very disappointed and unsatisfied. Never 👎 again”
“disgraceful underhand behavior to auto renew bookings without a way to cancel online. You can only call them, then auto verifcation doesn't work and when I finally got through to someone, they couldn't cancel my account and asked me to call back in a couple of hours when their 'system was back online' NEVER USE THIS COMPANY OR BOOK A FLIGHT WHERE THEY ARE INVOLVED”
“Just wanted to share my awful experience with EDreams, in case it helps others avoid the same trap.
I had previously subscribed to their Prime service, which I completely forgot about. They automatically renewed my subscription without any notification, and since the account was linked to an old work email that no longer exists, I never got any warning or chance to cancel.
When I contacted customer service to explain the situation, they refused to refund me, even though I clearly had no access to the email they sent the notice to (if any was sent at all).
Worse: there is no way to cancel online. Their platform has no cancellation option in the user account area, and when I tried calling, they told me “we’re experiencing technical issues and can’t process your cancellation right now.” I called multiple times — same excuse every time.
So, I’m stuck with a subscription I didn’t want, no way to cancel, and no refund.
It feels like a deliberate design to make cancellation as hard as possible. I’ve submitted a complaint to my credit card company (Amex), and I’m also filing a report with the European Consumer Centre.
Avoid EDreams at all costs. Their practices are manipulative and borderline fraudulent.”
“In my opinion, eDrams' advertising is misleading. You'd expect to be offered a cheap flight if you go to the eDrams platform.
That's not the case, and I suspect it's not just me.
I booked a flight and added a carry-on bag. It turns out that carry-on bag was only added for the return flight, not the outbound flight.
But what I find even more misleading is that when I completed the booking, the price increased twice within a minute. Initially, I was shown a price of €164.97. During the payment process, it increased first to €203.98 and then to €234.78.
Now I have to add a carry-on bag for the outbound flight, which costs me another €34. I'm now paying €268.78 instead of the expected €164.64. I then randomly requested additional bookings and, lo and behold, the price increased twice each time during the payment process. I then canceled the payment process.
In my opinion, the entire system is flawed, and as a consumer, you are misled and ripped off with cheap offers.
I then wanted to know how much the flight would have cost me on the regular platforms with Eurowings and Curling. The exact same flights with the shorter departure times would have cost me a total of €233.17.
Since my girlfriend and I only need one piece of hand luggage, and that's not possible with a joint booking, we booked our flights separately.
I can only advise everyone to stay away from eDreams.”
“Had to wait almost 20 minutes on hold to cancel my Prime trial membership. There was no other way to do it, apart from making a costly and inconvenient telephone call. The first agent didn't even speak English, sang to me and laughed. The spirit was great and yet most unhelpful and frustrating. Avoid this company at all costs. Time is precious. Next time I will book direct with the airline (Ryanair). Lesson learned. 😅”
“This has been the worst travel booking experience I’ve ever had. I booked my flights through eDreams as a Prime member, trusting their promise of flexibility and priority service. What a complete scam.
Despite the claim that flights are flexible to change, their support is totally unhelpful. You cannot reach anyone directly for urgent changes. When I tried to change my flight, customer care told me they don’t have access to make the changes themselves — instead, they said another team would call me back within 24 hours. By the time they finally responded, the flight price had increased, and I was no longer able to make the change I needed.
So what exactly is the benefit of Prime? Because I received zero help, no flexibility, and no support. It’s nothing more than false advertising.
Avoid eDreams Prime at all costs. The service is unreliable, the support is non-existent, and you’re better off booking directly with airlines. This was a huge waste of time and money.”
“I booked a flight from Innsbruck to Edinburgh. All looked fine, but then went to do online check in the day before and the flight did not exist. I contacted BA directly and they couldn’t trace the flight number. I have had to spend a further £650 to get to Munich to fly my son & I back to Edinburgh. No one at eDreams able to speak to me. Avoid at all costs.”
“Avoid the edreams prime subscription, they charge you even after cancelling
Borderline scammers, they upsell you the prime subscription, but it's nearly impossible to cancel.
They make you have to call them up, but even after they say it's cancelled, they keep charging the card and won't refund.
After 3 phone calls, I'm still being charged, I have no choice but to raise a dispute with my credit card company.”
