FibreGlassDirect is an online shop which supplies quality, fibreglass raw materials to the UK and Ireland. We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and our Head Office is in Newry, Northern Ireland.
We have been online since 2009 but have over 60 years of experience as part of the Tricel Group.
We offer an extensive range of resins, topcoats, gelcoats and ancillaries for a wide range of industries. Some of our key supplies are used for Fibreglass Flat Roofing, Fibreglass Ponds, Boat Repairs and Castings for Decorative Items.

“I sent a question of what kit would best suit my needs (trailer roof) and received a fast reply with useful help and advice, even what drying time was needed. Ordered the kit which arrived within a couple of days and is very comprehensive and well packed. Definitely recommended.”

“Recently purchased the clear epoxy resin 2kg and i am seriously disappointed. when Mixing the part A and Part B it forms a cloud full of bubbles and is not easy to get rid of, by the time the mixture cloud clears up it starts to cure and have to be quick when pouring into the mould and dont have enough tome to pop the remaining bubbles as mixture becomes sticky”

“I was quite surprise that after actually ordering from you twice that there was no technical data sheet or coshh document with the materials purchased. I am a new user of this material and have had to do a lot of research. Luckily i am a Health and Safety professional and was very wary of it in the first place. Also probably just me but i am having some bad results with the projects i have been attempting although trying to follow the instructions on ratio from the tub and i have been using digital scales to measure and the other method of precision measuring with quality graduated cups and syringes. Results have had cracking bad shrinkage from the sides and bits just not setting even after very thorough mixing and even between two pots. Biggest issue is the amount of air bubbles no matter how slow or fast you mix the resin. And tips or instructions would be very much appreciated.”

“The service was prompt but i found difficulty in the fibreglass drying. I still have some damp. I put plenty of hardner, running out I used so much. It should have gone off in half hour. The general purpose resin I do not think it is right for the boat and the fibre glass matting was not very well knitted together, a bit thin in places and it when cutting it just shredded in parts. But I managed by doubling up in parts where thin. Otherwise I am very pleased with your service. The resin etc is bot boat repair and molding parts for my little boat. I have a 20ft boat to fibreglass up and will need at least 10kg of resin and suitable catalist for it to set hard. I always give myself a half hour going off time and should be a couple of hours setting hard. A full day totla setting after that. Thank you.”
