FibreGlassDirect is an online shop which supplies quality, fibreglass raw materials to the UK and Ireland. We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and our Head Office is in Newry, Northern Ireland.
We have been online since 2009 but have over 60 years of experience as part of the Tricel Group.
We offer an extensive range of resins, topcoats, gelcoats and ancillaries for a wide range of industries. Some of our key supplies are used for Fibreglass Flat Roofing, Fibreglass Ponds, Boat Repairs and Castings for Decorative Items.

“Unfortunately - disappointed ! Received wrong order , to be fair was exchanged quickly but this morning when I was about to start my project , worked out I have not been sent no where near enough fibreglass sheets. So can’t do it ! Gutted”

“Made order 6 days ago. Paid for delivery. Still no order. Needed materials on job. Had to buy elsewhere to get job done. Very poor!”

“My experience with fibreglass direct was not great. Although all the staff were all friendly and helpful over the course of my 4 visits to the leeds branch, I was very u impressed by their professionalism... The first vist I had to wait about zn hour as my order had been misplaced. On my second visit my order had been sent out fir delivery when it was a clic and collect. The 3rd vist i asked the staff member if they were sure my order was complete as it looked short and i was assured it would be right. For me to find out it was short afterall. My 4th visit was successful as they gave me the missing part of my order. What a joke!!!”

“I received 5sqm of CSM, I needed under 4. I have over 1 sq m of CSM over and a 2.5kg tin of resin unopened and less than half of the topcoat used. Almost £300 to cover a roof. I can understand rounding up but this was silly. Rip off.”

“I ORDERED TWO TINS OF 5KG TOP COAT WITH CATALYST. THEY ARRIVED FAIRLY SOON AFTER ORDERING VIA A DELIVERY COMPANY CALLED XPD. THEY WERE NOT GREAT. FIRSTLY THEY DID NOT DELIVER ON THE DAY THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND I HAD TO MISS AN APPOINTMENT. THEY MADE ME SIGN ON THE SCREEN TO GET A QR CODE BUT WHEN THEY DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY THEY DID NOT ASK FOR THE CODE. WHEN I LATER OPENED THE PACKAGE I SAW THAT ONE OF THE TINS OF 5KG WAS BADLY DAMAGED ALTHOUGH SEEMINGLY USABLE AND THE OTHER WAS KNOCKED ABOUT A BIT. I PHOTOGRAPHED THEM AND SENT A COPY TO THE SUPPLIER BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK. HOPEFULLY WHEN I USE THE MATERIALS ALL WILL BE WELL BUT IT'S NOT BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE. BRUCE RAYER.”

“Overall not great, the products arrived in poor state all tins badly dented, but not leaking so accepted. Having discussed my requirements directly with FGD. I was surprised to find I was not supplied with sufficient number of gutter trim lengths, bandage rolls and finally fibre glass matting, all in all it has been a nightmare trying to lay a waterproof roof when supplied with insufficient product. Surely FGD should supply with a tolerance +10% not minus 10%.”

“I would have accepted the apology gave me when they took a week to tell me the ordered item was out of stock, but since they ignored my request they send the substitute as as next day, i cant recommend their services.”

“I still do not have my delivery so it is difficult to rate your service anything other than poor. Your logistics company is a nightmare to deal with so it may be best to credit my order back as i need the product and have no certainty at all of getting it through yourselves. I am now going onto Amazon to place the order....”

“Only half my order was delivered- fibre glass kit arrived without the roof boards. Unable to get anyone on the phone and messages arnt answered. Can’t have roof layed as planned and now need to buy new edging boards.”

“Ordered 10sq metre pond kit.Product arrived as ordered and on time. The sales staff were helpful.However after following the instructions its been a complete waste of time and money as both ponds have drained and are not watertight.Lots of hassle will never attempt it again.Certainly not for the DIYer.”

“Quick service but disappointingly delivered the incorrect rollers and charged a higher price. Difficult to get hold of with no response from the sales email or via telephone. Job now delayed while alternative items being sourced. Would not therefore use again.”
