“Still have not received my trellis. I ordered on 6th January and was told it was in stock and was going to be sent, 9 days later, nothing. I have had not dispatch notification. This is not the first time this has happened. I ordered two things before, but was sent only one out of the order. No email to say where the other one was, but still took my money. I called and was told they were out of stock. When were they going to mention this if I hadn't called? Called them this morning to cancel the order and told I would get a refund. No refund, but all of the sudden the item was being dispatched. I no longer want the item and have bought elsewhere. Let's see if I get the refund??”
“Scammers, bunch of middlemen who claim they have an item in stock, will take your money, attempt to get an item from somewhere else and then if they fail to do so, tell you 10 days later they can’t source it.”
“Richmond bench. Very attractive initially but within 3 years, the paint is peeling on multiple bars to expose the metal underneath which is now rusting. This is a triumph of style over substance. when i wrote to complain i was told that it should not be left outdoors uncovered in the winter- ie it's for summer use only and you will need to store it!”
“BEWARE, FRAUDSTERS - We ordered a garden furniture set that was due to be delivered within a week. 3 weeks later they’ve told us that they can’t fulfil the order as they had sold out by the time we had placed the order.
That in itself is incredibly frustrating, but we’ve not realised they have refunded us for the product but not the £59 delivery fee that they charged (for the item that wasn’t even delivered!).
Absolute joke of a company with zero controls or customer services. 1 star is generous.”
“I bought several items in December 2020. The outdoor items - Richmond Bench and Fulbrook mirror were put outside in May 2021. Within 14 months they are full of rust which is unrepairable.
I contacted customer services and Nicole replied 'As these items are over 12 months old we have no obligation to replace them. Metal outdoor items would rust over time due to the natural weather elements.'
It is not unreasonable to expect outdoor furniture and mirrors to last longer than 14 months. They are still selling both items.”
“I attempted to replace a defective item (garden hose) under warranty and was told I could only return within the 14 day period after purchase. The fault developed months after purchase and this is covered under the 'defective item' element of their T&Cs. Even when I pointed this out to them, they still would not accept or offer a refund/replacement. I have bought many items from them in the past but will not be in future as they do not follow their own T&Cs.”
