Cold call and an attempt to sell to me on 20.08.21 insurance cover for my kitchen appliances by offering a 3 year cover for the price of 2 years with a further discount. It only works with a pre-payment of the whole insurance amount. They did not make it clear who they were creating the illusion that they were my current insurer and tried very, very hard to obtain my full banking details to debit my account. It very much looks like a scam and I certainly will not insure with this lot .

I am receiving telephone calls from this company almost on a weekly basis. They tell me my insurance is about to expire on my kitchen appliances and that because I have made no claims in the past year I will be getting a renewal discount. I have never ever had a policy of any kind with this company and can only surmise that they are cold calling with the hope of conning people into paying a premium. Each time they call I ask to be removed from their list, but to no avail.

Fraudulent, thieving, scammers. I have answered the phone several times to their representative telling me my policy for insuring freezer,Sky TV box, washing machine, tv etc was up for renewal at a discounted premium of £199. The thing is I do not have any record of ever dealing with them. I have asked for a paper renewal form to be posted on to me so I can check it out. Surprisingly nothing ever comes. Stay clear of this fraudulant company.

Exactly the same as others. Elderly mother. Schedule says £199, but elsewhere says £199 taken at outset then £296 later (just after cooling off period expires). A barge pole is too short when dealing with this lot.

Scam... constantly cold calling elderly relatives. Repeatedly asked them to take off their data source ans not call again to then receive abuse back. Do they not follow GDPR Regulation!!!

This company cold called my elderly mother who has dementia and scared her into giving her bank details by telling her she had to pay £300 insurance for her fridge. The same person kept phoning back throughout the evening to push for more infornation about her bank account. Please do not trust National Home Cover

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY My 73 year old Dad is a dementia sufferer. He is unable to deal with his affairs. I am his power of attorney and help with bills/banking etc. I was shocked to see that this company targeted my Dad with hugely unethical sales tactics which resulted in him in handing over £495!!!!!!! He can not remember the call. He does not need this policy. I already sourced insurance from my parents. It's totally sickening, especially after reading other reviews, this company target the vulnerable to extract money. Huge amounts at that. Disgusting.

Do not use this company, they keep cold calling my 89 year old father. I had to make a complaint in under to get the extortionate amount of money returned to him. Just heard that they've called again asking for even more than the last time!

AS PER A PREVIOUS REVIEW, I AGREE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They cold-called my 75 year old mother and pretended they were Domestic & General. They charged her £495 for a 3 year cover, then when her fridge-freezer broke, we were unable to contact anyone on the phone number given on the policy for 2 days, and then when my sister did finally manage to request an engineer and was told they would be in touch within 48 hours, no engineer phoned back for another 5 days, by which time all the food in the freezer was spoilt and had to be thrown away, and my 75 year old mum was so desperate, as she was providing 24-hour care for my seriously ill father, who has Alzheimer's and Parkinsons disease, at home at the time, that she had already ordered a new freezer herself. My sister and I feel that the service she has received is unacceptable. I see from the reviews left on this website that thsi company appear to target vulnerable elderly people and sell them exorbitant insurance, which if they actually try to use, turns out to be extremely dubious, and certainly not worth the excessive amount that they have been charged. As a direct result of the stress that they have caused my mum, she became unable to look after my dad at home any longer, and he was admitted to hospital last Saturday (31 July 2021) and we do not think that he will ever be able to return home again. I have phoned their 'refund/cancellations' number three times today (2nd August). The first time, around noon today, I was told that someone from the refund/cancellation team would phone me back in 1-2 hours. When no-one had phoned by 2.45pm, I phoned again, and was then told that someone would phone me back by 6pm. When no-one had phoned by 5.20pm, I phoned again, as I was worried that I had been told a time when everyone would have already left the office, so that I wouldn't then be able to phone again today. On this final occasion I was told that someone would ring me back either today or tomorrow. I am currently still waiting. Again, this is unacceptable, and I feel that I am being fobbed off. I have emailed the company this evening and asked for someone from the refund/cancellations team to ring me back before 11am tomorrow and refund her £495, as otherwise my mum will be phoning her bank and asking them to instigate a chargeback procedure to reclaim her money, as she was clearly mis-sold the policy. I will also be contacting Trading Standards to complain about this company's sales practices targeting vulnerable elderly people, overcharging for dubious insurance services, and very poor customer service. I also note that they do not appear to be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, which is a red flag to me. Furthermore, I note from the Which? website that several companies such as theirs have been brought to the attention of Which, and, like this company, they are registered at addresses in Brighton and Hove. I am absolutely disgusted by the way that this company have treated my mum and can only hope that they are ashamed enough to now finally do the right thing and refund her money tomorrow, without any further delay, but unfortunately I doubt that this will be the case.

Spam callers that never stop, bit like Terminator... Continually call me at least once a month, sometimes more, pestering me to buy their home appliance cover, they've been doing it for over two years now. I've said no thanks, ignored them, and even blocked their number numerous times - but they keep buying new phone numbers to do their spam calling. So I've given up trying because just like the Terminator they will never, ever, stop. And they'll be back. So I now chat rubbish to them instead, lead them down the garden path and keep their team busy for about 10-15 minutes at a time and am having a wonderful time wasting their calling budget. They keep coming back for more, so looking forward to my next call in a few days! Muppets.

Aggressive and manipulative sales tactics adopted towards my elderly parents leaving them extremely distressed. Misleading paperwork and disgusting attitude of call handlers. How can you justify trying to charge over £600 in extended warranty cover? You should be ashamed. One star is flattering!

They rang my 81 year old mother and made out that she already had cover with them and somehow they knew who she banked with and her card number. Luckily she told me (her daughter) about it and I was able to cancel the DD. She was extremely upset and worried about the whole episode. Shame on you for targeting old people!

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They have sold my father a policy he does not need and have already taken out more money than the policy was originally agreed for just one year into a 4 year policy. He has also received bullying calls from sales people trying to get even more money out of him. Avoid at all costs.

Very unhappy. Like some others I was under the impression it was D & G I was dealing with. Payments were to be made over three months instead of monthly. I found the call very confusing. I was lucky in that I have been able to cancel the payments being taken from my account. They are just giving Domestic and General a bad name with all this. I find it disgusting

Spoke to an elderly lady who had rec'd a call from yourselves, claiming you were previously D&G, but had changed your name. Very poor customer service offering insurance for 3 years cover for a cost of £480! That's a lot of money for anybody, let alone an elderly lady.
