“I was informed by staff to come early the next day as there would be queues as I wanted Pokemon tins that were new out for my grandson .We were outside the shop for 8.30 and at the door for 8.45 then a few people queued behind us we were at the till for 9.01 and were served by Lee who looked very unhappy we asked for the tins and asked could I choose what ones to which he threw 4 on the counter saying nothing I then said there are others and he threw a further four with no comments and no smile we then went on to pay (as my daughter and myself purchased 2 tins each as that was the allowed amount) We received no please no thankyou and if you check your cameras you'll see how he threw the tins on the counter...he may have had a bad night but he shouldn't be taking it out on the customer's very disappointing service and from a middle aged man who should be showing the young staff how it's done
We shop there regularly and the young staff are always pleasant and helpful in Smyths Portal way Liverpool.

“Ordered stock to pick up in store - good choice of items etc & handy to avoid delivery costs. Only thing that stops it being 5 starts / 5 was the fact you can't pay when you order needs to be done in store, which slows up the process & means that they only keep it for 24 hours from reservation (other sites like argos you can pay & collect quickly & they hold it for longer as it's all paid for)”

“Upon visiting the shop, I phoned my local store to inquire about their price match scheme. They agreed to my request with details. Upon arriving, I was then made to look silly in front of people at the till due to being told they were unable to price match the item as it wasn't the same colour. I told them I had previously phoned and as long as the item was the same name/description, the colour was variable. In the end, the assistant called the manager to give the all clear. They managed to accept the price match as well as honour my 20% off coupon.”
