The course is marvelous, the video helps enormously by making you feel as if they are in the room with you and it brings it to life.

Vast amount of courses in bitesize chunks and pdf documents that can be read later, this package is excellent value, huge learning potential from a diverse array of genuine leaders of their field. Highly recommended.

I love to learn from the masters of writing. It is as if I'm sitting in front of them. Julia Donaldson is a great inspiration for my children's books. Being a children's book author myself I've learned a lot from her. I also enjoy Lee Child. I've always been a big fan of him and it is wonderful to be lectured by him. Thank you, BBC for bringing the Masters to us.

I think the tutor writes some of the most sublime TV dramas I’ve ever seen - I mean Line of Duty was superb. The course? For me it was too advanced. It was more akin to a master class for established writers looking for a spring clean. To reset themselves on a clean technical sheet. I was bored by lesson 3, ditched the course by lesson 8. There seems to be nothing out there for someone like me who has a dozen of pilots and the most dangerously believable antagonists but I don’t know how to get it down. I mean a 15 beat? A seriale?! Not a scooby do. So I’m back in the wilderness with my wonderful fresh original material - why can’t you put on a tv drama writing camp? Spoon feed me the nuts and bolts and see what you get?

There's not a lot of value to the courses. At least the courses I've done so far. Essentially storytelling instead of in depth lectures

The content and lessons are great, I am really enjoying the Lee Child's lessons What I am NOT enjoying is the constant changing of the camera where he is talking to someone off to the side and he is being filmed looking at someone we can't see. What a stupid concept! I can understand why you would want to make it more interesting but constantly changing the camera angle is more annoying to the viewer than anything and as Masterclass does the same stupid thing it's just ripping off of the look of Masterclass which the BBC should be doing better not trying to duplicate.

So many great writers, sharing their knowledge to help others, they all have different writing styles. Book recommendations, writing exercises, and course notes. I have spent many hours gaining information and hope to put this into practice in my writing. All the speakers were a great inspiration. I have also enjoyed courses on cooking and still have plenty of other courses waiting to be watched.

BBC Maestro is incredible. Thoughtful, entertaining, informative and most of all inspiring. It never talks down but lifts you up. Also, the production is extremely well done. Can’t wait til they make an app so I can easily watch away from my desk chair.

The presenters I have watched are amiable, down-to-Earth, and full of really practical advice. Their accumulated wisdom is vast and well worth the price of admission.

I found this expensive for an autobiography rather than proper lessons.

I have purchased one course and I was so pleased with it and the nee ones the BBC kept adding, that I just upgraded to a complete subscription. To learn is to live and to live is to learn, so: why not give it a try and grow as a person and a professional from home…?

After retiring I wanted to pursue an interest I have in relation to writing children’s books, the course is allowing me access to a writer I admire which I would not ordinarily have had. I can do lessons as they fit in with my life and I don’t have to organise my time around the course.

Joined for the writing courses, but ❤️ being able to dip into something I had not considered learning. Warm, friendly style. The workbooks are excellent. New presenters, courses and subjects are added regularly. Highly recommend BBC Maestro.

I have enjoyed the lessons I have watched. The tutors I have watched are great people, worth hearing from. Sometimes the lessons are overly wordy, and I don't feel I have got through much in the time I have. Very well made videos.
