“I was very disappointed in the Portrait painting course. The supporting text lists 27 lessons and 21 exercises which I believed would be of a practical nature. However, as I started the course the artist, whom I really admire, did nothing but sit and talk-for all 27 lessons! Some of the exercises were ridiculous. This was of no use to me whatever as I wanted demonstrations and practical tuition on how to paint portraits. BBC would not consider refunding me.”

“I have enjoyed the courses I’ve taken so far . They are gripping, well carried out and not boring at all.

A word of warning, from bitter experience: if you want to listen on the go, download the course first. I just used up my whole month's mobile data allowance listening to a course while walking my dog!”
