I've often checked in on BBC Maestro but only catapulted into action when I saw a course by JoJo Moyes. A casual encounter in our library and book talk ended in a stranger dashing off to find me a book, which she said I MUST read. Yes, it was Me Before You. And the rest is history. So many good courses. As one of my characters is writing a musical, it followed that I had to take Sir Tim Rice's course on Writing a Musical. Details, you know, information from the best, all that incredible knowledge to explore and learn from.

I bought the maestro course because of Harlan Coben. Loved it. Found it helpful, inspiring and got motivated. Nice mentor to hang around with while plotting your own stories and getting ready for success.

I am still busy working my way through the wonderful writers course run by Julia Donaldson I didn't know what to expect but the bite size sessions are interesting and give so many excellent ideas and advice. I am not aiming at publication and just wish to write some stories for my grandchildren, however I really think that wherever you are in your writing career then Julia Donaldson will inspire you and give you brilliant pointers. such good value too.

Isobel Allende's writing course is simple, straight to the point - not bound up in intelletual language. She is a great tutor. Thanks to the BBC for this amazing course. I hope it can be offered to disadvantaged people free of charge as we have so much wasted talent.

It never stops to amaze me that having access to people like this is such a privilege. I am excited to tell everyone to feel great about spending such a small amount for so much value.

I have taken two and a half courses since purchasing the all access pass and I am well pleased with them. The segments are short enough to fit in around running errands and while fixing meals and they are very engaging. I highly recommend this is you want something to do besides doom-scrolling before bed or in little snippets of time that would otherwise be wasted. If you miss something you can go back and rewatch segments. The all access pass has caused me to branch out from the subject matter that I initially thought I was interested in and has been time and money well spent.

BBC Maestro and Isabel Allende's guidance on writing helped me jump start the book I have been thinking about, making lists about, drafting on and off about. I will watch and re-watch each class. She is so inspiring. It is something I look forward to every morning. And I don't edit myself at much at the outset each day. I don't doubt myself as much. She gives clarity to those moments that stop us, that pull us further away from our mission and our project. I also find the price to be fair and affordable. Thank you BBC Maestro

I took Isabell Allende - Magical Storytelling course on BBC maestro. I am very happy I did it. Isabel Allende is not just great writer, but also great storyteller and her direct, encouraging way and fun she has while doing it is inspiring. I hope it will help me to finally write fictional history of my family and finish those short stories I started. This course is great fun, and I enjoy every minute of it. Love you Isabell, your intelligence, elegance in speech and courage to say everything as it is! It felt like talking to the best friend. Mira S.

It's very similar if not the same to Master Class. I love the choice of writers on BBC Maestro, the Harlen Coban class is great.

Evy Poumpouras and her course has been life changing, if only I’d have watched it 20 years ago.

I find it easy to use. The courses and supporting materials are very well produced, as you'd expect, with big names in their field offering different perspectives and aspects of the topic. I have learned so much already, and look forward to exploring morse courses over the coming year.

I’ve already recommended bbc maestro to one of the world’s topmost academics in their field. The person already writes but is interested in possibly migrating to a particular genre of fictional writing. I reccomended bbc maestro due to how truly informative Isabel Allende’s tutorial on writing is . In terms of technical process; she delivers specific instructions on how to approach certain aspects of writing. Also in terms of how your process as a human being. Cognitive processing in a creative way. Also in terms of how such processing can be worked with when dealing with writer’s block for instance. She also deals with affective processing. The part that emotion has to play in the art of writing. All the above is delivered to the viewer as though it’s on a one to one basis, imparting a very personal tone to the relationship between her and you, which in itself is deeply impactful. All of the above is delivered within the framework of her experience as a writer of huge success. A true maestro, and her wonderful experience is apparent in everything she says. This makes this viewer feel that I’m min very safe hands, and can trust the platinum standard advice the she is giving me. Immensely reassuring. The tone and feel is further enhanced by the beautifully understated way that it has been filmed by the GLORIOUS BBC. It’s been designed in a very consistent fashion, which helps to make the matter easier to assimilate. No intrusion of dramatic tripe of various kinds. It reeks of subtle, understated quality that thankfully is the BBC’s hallmark.. If BBC Maestro was a handsome, hairy, muscled, academic who could play the piano like Glenn Gould, I’d make him all mine. See? Your course has paid dividends already. It was this sort of angle I used when I reccomended BBC Maestro. I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest in the collection. Thank you for it.

Fun, factual and enlightening. I am loving the fiction writing course with Isabelle Allende and intend to take many more in the future. I am becoming more aware of how to create my novel, which is many years in the pondering and gaining confidence with every episode. The subscription is excellent value for money and I can watch each section at my own pace. Perfect for my busy and ecclectic schedule.
