The classes are longer than Masterclass which is a big advantage for the money. As long as they get the best level rather than second best in any field, with the longer running time it can be superior.

I've just completed Harlan Coben's "Writing Thrillers" and LOVED it! I'd had a successful career with Harlequin writing romantic suspense in the late 80s, then went on to do other things. In 2017, I started writing screenplays, mostly thrillers & some adaptations. After winning a few contests, getting some A-list interest, I was exhausted. Harlan not only rekindled my joy in writing, he reinforced techniques I'd undervalued. AND he inspired me to novelize my current script. I'll be querying his agent in a couple days. So, THANK YOU, HARLAN! Will send you a signed copy of the book one day, and invite you to the Emmys when the mini-series is nominated. You're the best!

I have been baking for years but only recently began baking bread, starting in a wilderness location on an open campfire using a Dutch oven. The results were good, and it inspired me to take this course. I find the presentation easy to follow, and entertaining to watch, and so far my products have been very good. In fact, I would say that the pizza dough is the best I have ever had - period. Today is Valentines Day, I am planning on cooking a small rib roast over an open fire, served with gnochi and pesto with a spinach salad, and a nice wine. The bread will be the Focaccia bread, served with olive oil and basalmic vinegar. It's going to be great!

I bought a subscription to Maestro on the back of the 'course' by Jonathon Yeo, an unbelievably talented artist. It was beautifully shot and very well directed for a documentary. I say documentary because that is what it was and this was confirmed in one of the latter 'lessons' by the sitter who made the comment himself. Did I learn any more than I would have done on a 30 minute You Tube video? No. There was not a single demonstration that I can recall that covered colour mixing for instance. He is in the very nice situation to have his canvasses made for him so no demonstration of how to prepare a canvas just a discussion. It hasn't clouded my opinion of a very nice man who has a gift. The dog training course, however, has been very good with definite subjects and clear demonstrations. Marco Pierre white is a bit annoying but I have picked up some interesting tips from what is a glorified cookery programme. In my humble opinion the courses would be better served by a teacher from a respected college or university that covers the subject. I have doubts that I would renew my subscription.

Love the variety of courses. Price is great especially when discounted. You learn at your own pace and the videos aren't too long. The bonus is getting the extra transcripts or notes from the person delivering the course.

I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed in the Jonathan Yeo lesson. I would describe it as more like a lecture. It was very interesting, but I thought I was subscribing to a lesson, involving an oil portrait painting project for me to undertake. Had I known, I would not have subscribed. It wasn’t that cheap, either.

The writing series have provided some wonderful inspiration. I play the lessons constantly in the background as I work on my own novel. The words of accomplished novelists Lee Child and Harlem Coben stimulate my thoughts and help me to keep focused. Something few other services have done. That's a big difference maker!

I am watching Oliver Burkeman on time management. He has a completely different approach than other writers/thinkers and he is spot on. He critiques other systems in a totally convincing ways and offer clear ideas of how to approach the subject - and indeed life as a whole - practically as well as philosophically. I would recommend (and am doing) to everyone.

It’s not really practical enough. Interesting but not really learning much. So. For example. Jonathan Yeo talks about prepping his canvas using layers and stains. I kept hoping he would show one being prepped - or at least explain in detail the materials and process. Half way through and still hoping. It does not need to be like a lesson - but needs some clear practical takeaways. And prepping the canvas is clearly a key part of his process.

It's commendable how Steven Bartlett, as a CEO, prioritizes making a positive impact on people's lives and supporting those with ambitious goals, regardless of their financial background. His journey from humble beginnings to CEO serves as inspiration for many.
