If you are expecting a step-by-step guide on how to complete tasks such as writing a novel then buy some good books. These courses are full of titbits, the secrets if you like, gained from a lifetime of knowledge in the subject. Ken Follet is an absolute master of his craft and it shows, as are others I've taken. You will need a pen and paper by your side to record initial ideas gained from the courses then you can use that to influence your work.
