Very interesting courses led by experts in bite size chunks. Great to be able to access the course notes as a pdf. I have also enjoyed the blog posts. Really happy with my subscription.

The thing that attracted me to BBC Maestro was its line-up of professionals. We've all seen videos (YouTube and elsewhere) produced by screenwriters, fiction/non-fiction writers, etc. purporting to 'show you' how to create like the pros. Except... Who are these guys?! Maestro is the real deal. The long list of authors (my particular field of interest and study) is quite awesome. I continue to be enthralled by the stories, anecdotes, and instruction (with notes provided) from these men and women. Well done!

Found the Malory Blackman Writing for YA so interesting and such a relaxing but informative course. Enjoyed the small sections that allowed me to access information when I had a few minutes. Very enjoyable and I can go back over the sections I want to easily.

Well I can only speak about the songwriting but I can’t praise Mr B highly enough I’ve retired and over the last couple of years re focussed on writing yet more lyrics. However I am not a musician so always having to go in search of collaborators.. but the mentoring was not only what and how to create a song from those lyrics in your back pocket but how to develop attitude -/ application-/ and confidence in order to be accepted and your music recognised I was hanging on to his highs (falsetto) 😀 and his lows (touting his demos round Manchester Square) I was there with him when no one passed through and the long trek home🥴. He was inspiring so he achieved another First Thank him from me I want to pass his message on I am at an age where there are less years ahead than there are behind but it would be wonderful to leave a small legacy behind. Any more links contacts over the next 12 months would be gratefully received I attended a course last year in France led by Mike Batt which was good …. and met 2 other writers who asked if I would like to help them on a musical they are putting together to take to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025 ….. so I need to do my homework on fitting in to the project 🤓🤓 and how to make it FUN Excellent

What a great package of learning! I invested in the one year all courses package during the April sale, and I love it. High quality delivery of learning from experts in the field in manageable, meaningful lessons. The downloadable worksheets are a bonus. Really impressed by this. Although I bought at discounted price, I think the full price equally good value.

8 lessons into the Lee Childs course and nothing useful had been said that wasn't in the introduction

I could not find another really interesting course for me. The two I watched were non stop talking ... this is not a 'class', this is at most a talk.

Watched series on Jonathan Yeo. Portrait artist. He reviews his personal experience and approach to painting in oils primarily. He talks more about motivation and general principles rather than detailed techniques. I found it very intimate and revealing about him and his feelings towards the work and his model. Very different from the many “how to” art videos I have seen before. He admits to being self taught and it shows with his confusion on painting vocabulary but still charming and insightful.

I'm only just beginning the Poetry course but am finding it enjoyable and stimulating. I also love that there's no time limit. The fact that I was given a discount was also pleasing!

I honestly cannot recommend BBC Maestro enough and I've only just scratched the surface! Not only does it give you brilliant informative insight, but the supporting information helps you take what you've learnt and start putting it into practice. And the videos are broken down into easy to use content which makes it quick and easy to refer back to them. There are so many great takeaways, there is something here for everyone.

I don't love it. Mastrerclass has apps on ROKU and I can watch it on my TV and Maestro has none. I can only watch it on a my phone but I want to watch it on my TV.

The course for which I signed up was promptly delivered and the price was as advertised. The particular course I chose is from a famous writer who provides an enormous amount of information which will prove invaluable as I work on my own writing. BBC Maestro was suggested to me by a friend and it has not disappointed. The vedeo and audio quality is excellent.
