I decided to hire Book writing founders for author marketing to increase the visibility of my contemporary fiction novel. As a self-published author, I needed assistance in reaching a broader audience and boosting sales. I’m pleased to say that Book writing founders exceeded my expectations in terms of the results. Their efforts significantly improved the visibility of my book, leading to increased sales and exposure within my target audience. As a result, my book gained traction and garnered positive reviews, ultimately contributing to its success in the competitive market of contemporary fiction.

Biggest joke EVER! I wrote my children’s book and hired them to publish it and they also added THEIR OWN illustrations and that’s when I knew I screwed up! The just of my book is a little girl gets a kitty for her birthday and the family lives on a farm in rural Mississippi with all the usual farm animals. A tornado hits while the dad is working in the city and the little girl and her mom are shopping in the local store. When everyone is decided to be ok they drive home and the idiotic illustrations show the mom standing outside in the yard SMILING as she sees the DESTRUCTION!?!? Somebody needs to make it make sense

I have had a very long process writing my children's book with Book Writing Founders. I worked with several Project Managers before I was assigned to David Johnson. David is professional. He understood my vision for this book. This book is a legacy to my late husband so I wanted it to be just right. David is an asset to Book Writing Founders. He is currently getting my book done the way I wanted it for republication. I cannot thank him enough for the professional help he gave in getting my book completed correctly.

Nothing has made me happy about this company. I've been dealing with them for almost 3 years and it wasn't until David Johnson took over my account that finally my books are now available (only on Amazon...I was promised 10 platforms). With David on my side I now feel comfortable that the rest of the promises will be kept. Thanks David...Hoping this company hires more people like David!!

When my intergalactic thriller needed a launchpad to escape into the stratosphere Book Writing Founders built the perfect rocket. Their press release pulsed with suspense weaving intrigue and mystery like a black hole's gravity. Reviews praised the 'chillingly evocative' and 'perfectly paced' writing attracting attention from readers and sci-fi blogs alike. Plus their lightning fast turnaround ensured my book hit warp speed before the competition. If you're looking to propel your sci-fi masterpiece into the limelight Book Writing Founders is your hyperdrive to success.

My name is Linda Gragg. I have had a first author experience that has left me devastated. I had many "helpers" who did not help, It took over a year to publish, and due to incompetent information and explanation given I have a product that is going no where. My initial cost was $3000 which went up to the $7000 mark over the year as additional "choices" of advertising costs which where not explained but just "my choice". Being a first time author I got took and took bad. I do not recommend this company and I am going to review them on every web site I can find. It is a scam. They did not even publish their name on my book. There is no accounting for money spent, advertising plans, no financial accounting , nothing. They promise on emails what they will do , then it is not done. Their website promises transparency, honesty, etc. It all sounds so good. You will be took plain and simple with this company. I repeatedly asked for the books that were to be shipped to me and never got them. I set up a separate account in the bank for sale revenue to come to, and it was set up wrong, and I have not received one penny from book sales. Not one penny. This is wrong on so many levels. I have daily reached out for help and now there is simply no response because I have repeatedly told them that there is no more money coming their way from me. Yet, no one does nothing. They will take your money, as much as they can get, and you will end up in a position of losing it all. I warn you, this is a total scam. You will lose your money and have a product you cannot use. I will now take the time to review this company on every website I can find warning people off from losing their money. I would not have given them one star if it was possible. They take raw authors who want to publish and crush them. I will not use this company and would not recommend them to anybody ever. I kept hope up until it was crystal clear that nothing more was going to be done to help me in any way. They want to talk to you instead of putting anything in writing. Fortunately for me, I got a lot of things in writing that will come in handy if I decide to pursue them in any way. An experience like this crushes you. The only reason I ended up with a single book, was I bought my own book. I gave them $1000.00 for the book convention and I was supposed to receive 70 books back that were unsold, and after repeatedly asking for them, still to this day have not received the books. I have daily asked for advertising accounting as I see they have done nothing and $400.00 of that last $1000 was supposed to go to extra advertising. If you want to just throw your money away. This is the ideal place to do it. They promise Transparency, Honesty, Financial Accountability on their website. Don't believe it. You will also not get Advertising Progress as they don't do it. Not unless you give them more money. An overall total rip off. They don't deliver. Scam.

Bookwriting Founders company is nothing but a scam, promising you the moon and delivering nothing but lies and broken promises. I was initially drawn to this company based on positive reviews I found online, which I’ve now come to realize were linked to Bookwriting Founders’ website and therefore can’t be trusted as legitimate reviews. I wish I had taken more time to investigate further and discover the real truth – this company preys on naïve authors and does nothing but take their money and run. I paid $7100 upfront for services related to editing and publishing my manuscript in Oct. 2022, and was promised that the book would be ready for publication on Dec. 1, 2022. I was promised a “dedicated team of 5 experts” (writer, editor, research, and Q&A). No matter how often I asked, I was never provided with the names of “my” team, nor did I have any way of working directly with them. Every time I called to voice my concerns about extensive delays, incomplete and incorrect files, and inept editing, I was told people were in meetings and would call me back. Needless to say, no one would call back, and over time it became clear it was a massive shell game, designed to keep stringing me along with nothing to show for my substantial payment. The inept handling of my manuscript verged on unbelievable – the editing was slip-shod and inaccurate, and many pages were not edited at all. There were random and bizarre word changes, like the editor just grabbed a different word from a thesaurus, even though the suggested word didn’t make sense in the context of the sentence. Formatting was an ongoing issue, including page numbers hidden by text and photos incorrectly sized, leaving random blank areas on pages. My instructions were never followed, and mistakes showed up time after time, no matter how often I was assured they had been corrected. While still early in the editing phase, they heavily pressured marketing upsells. Since the basic work had yet to be completed, I declined and let them know I wanted to see a finished product before considering any additional marketing expenses. After that, the project became a nightmare with no resolution – no finished book, no responses to my phone calls or emails. I was consistently lied to, and eventually the project manager head offered numerous apologies and acknowledged that I had received unsatisfactory treatment, frustrating experiences, and multiple delays. At one point she even suggested that a “rogue employee” had been sabotaging work, and I have now seen that same statement in several other critical reviews. Her promises for addressing my multiple concerns were empty, and a quality finished book never appeared. It became painfully clear over time that this dishonest and incompetent company had no interest in helping me publish my book, but only in playing an expensive and cruel game of dodge and deflect at the writer’s expense. I have since read many reviews by other authors to now realize this is the company’s modus operandi. When I asked for a refund, which was included in my contract (“Money Back Guarantee based on Dissatisfaction with the Quality of Work or Service”), my request was ignored. I sent a formal demand letter, which was also ignored. I personally checked out the three addresses listed on their website(s) for Illinois: 4803 N. Milwaukee Ave., Buffalo Grove, IL; 2057 Green Bay Road, Highland Park, IL; and 9300 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL, and discovered the company exists only on paper, there is no physical office at all. Because the company has no legitimate physical address, I have no way to legally serve court papers for small claims court. Their “100% money back guarantee” is worthless, and I’m out over $7,000. If you call 312-625-1056, you are going to be scammed. I hope this review helps warn other aspiring authors. Please do your research and don’t fall victim to this corrupt company.

You'll probably wonder why I've written the only three star rating up to now and I'll tell you why. I've been a client of BWF for two years now and I have four book titles published through them and perhaps a 5th and 6th if my concerns are ever properly addressed. My first and biggest concern is BWF managment's unwillingness to take ownership of their employees gross mistakes particularly those made by their "account managers" My experience with BWF "account managers" is they're in reality high-pressure commissioned sales people who do not last long for whatever reasons. What I've also found with BWF is their quality control is ubiqitous at best and their delays are in my opinion the result of indifference which occurs soon after the "account manager" (sales person) receives their commission and moves on to the next victim, knowing they won't be working there that long anyway. In the past two years I've gone through account managers like toilet paper. First there was Amanda, and then Lisa, Waylon, Becky, Mark, Joe, and Amy. My understanding is all of them are now gone but Amy. Waylon (the prize of the lot) once begged me to speak with one of the company's big wig "directors", a Robert Keenan. This snake-oil salesman projected big sales if I gave him $10,000 which he would manage through his subsidiary company in Santa Clara California. I foolishy forked over the money and where it went, who knows. At present I'm working with an empathetic and concerned senior manager named Kevin Peterson. Thus far he has examined where some of my $40,000 earmarked for marketing went. Mind you in 2-years BWF marketing has only yielded 65 book sales. Kevin informed me my money went towards their writing Instagram and Facebook posts even though I ordered four prior "account managers" to stop wasting my money on these posts. Apparently little money went towards actually promoting my four books. Why was BWF obsessed with posts? The reason is they've got bags of them. Sadly no one has ever read anything on Instagram and Facebook because there was never any promotion effort made to direct readers there. As for the website Lisa sold me two years ago for $5,000 which she said would by up in six weeks, it wasn't. After interminable delays I had to wait for Mr. Peterson, nearly two years later, to fix it and now I have a proper website. I might add Lisa, the crook who sold me the website, lied like a rug. I asked if there would be later costs and she said no. Later I learned there was a $3,000 fee for ADA compliance and a $1,000 fee for 5 years of forwarding email hook-up. Oh yes, the erstwhile Becky, said my books would fail if I did not have an audio link. The receipt for the four audio books reads $20,000 and supposidly other things which when questioned Becky replied it would go towards "marketing". By now you may well ask why I did not give Book Writing Founders an abysmal one or two star review. The answer is I consider myself a fair man. You see I've read the horror stories of other self-publishing companies out there who take your money and run off leaving you wondering what just happened. After countless delays BWF in the end has published two out of four audio books on Amazon Kindle. Mr. Kevin Peterson says the third audio book is in the works and I believe him. What I'm going to say about BWF may not make a great deal of sense but in the end they have this anemic sense of obligation towards eventually delivering deliver what you paid for. Do they correct all their mistakes? The answer is some but not all and again, eventually. My first book was published with the first letter up and down every right hand page missing for the first 273 pages. Waylon my "account manager" at the time blamed it on Kindle, but that was not true as it was an error made in house by BWF formatters. Was the problem corrected? It was, eventually. As for thier editors all I can say is they are hit and miss. Some are good, one is exceptional, and some are in desperate need of remedial English. Plan on editing the editor's work yourself unless you're fortunate enough to end up with one of the few good ones. Here's a good thing I will say which may not seem like much yet it is. They have a phone number someone answeres. They don't always identify themselves as BWF which is strangely odd, yet unlike the competition they do have a phone. So all in all, am I happy with BWF? The simple truth is no. I find their business culture of blaming former employees for what happened with their clients money to be wanting at best. The fact they have the gumption to even say it's the clients problem if their money was misspent is despicable. So why am I even still assocated with BWF? The answer is two-fold. One is I'm hopeful they'll do the right thing in the end and the second is, for what it's worth, they're the leper with the most fingers.
