easySim provides low-cost, prepaid travel eSIMs, which will cut the cost of using your mobile phone when you travel abroad in over 150 countries. No more dodgy WiFi or messing around with fiddly sim cards.
“Did not get a good signal. Often had to switch it off and on again to get it to work. Quite difficult to set up. And having to switch off your normal data/phone number meant we missed some crucial texts to confirm credit card payments and then our card got frozen.”
Hi Nicola,
Thank you for your review and I am disappointed you did not have the best experience. We have thousands of happy customers that have used our eSIM all over the USA so your review is unusual. I can see that you used 2GB of data.
I have checked our support platform and I cannot see any help requests from you which is a shame. I am sure we could have overcome any connectivity issues you were having by checking settings with you or trying an alternative network.
It is really EASY to ask for help - just tap Chat with an Expert in our Help centre for the fastest response to any enquiry.
I am going to contact you offline to find out more.
Safe travels,
Jim

“this is my second trip using easySim and what I would suggest is downloading eSIM before leaving and check that the APN is set correct, trying to amend with a 8 hour time difference, as I had to do on first trip, is quite difficult. That said respone when checking before second trip was very quick. Once abroad the service worked very well and I will be using again on any trip that I do not have Roaming included.”
“Great value compared to the price quoted by my network provider. Needed some help to set it up but once it was installed it worked well. I didn’t receive any OTPs whilst on the eSIM, not sure whether I should have or not.”
“The 1 GB eSim worked well. and was easy to install. I did have a problem in that i was sent a message saying the data ran out when my phone was saying I had used 0.9 GB of data.”
Hi David, thank you for you review and we are delighted our eSIM worked for you.
Your Android phone's data usage tracker provides an estimate of the data you've used based on the apps and services your phone can monitor. However, there's an important note on your phone's data warning screen:
"Excludes data used by operator networks."
This means your phone does not track all types of data. Specifically, it can miss the following:
Background system traffic or setup traffic: Some network-level operations (such as authentication, session management, or network pings) are invisible to the Android tracker but still count towards your total usage.
Data used before the phone's tracking started: If any data was used between activating the SIM and setting the phone's warning (e.g., setup/connection traffic), it would count toward your 1GB bundle but not appear in your phone's stats.
Operator-specific data (e.g., signal reporting or provisioning traffic): Your phone doesn’t register these, but they can be recorded by the mobile operator.
The good news - our data tracker is 100% accurate and you can view that anytime by signing in to your account at www.easysim.global.
I hope that helps and we hope to see you onboard again soon.
Safe travels,
Jim
