“I had the short Zoom consultation as I needed a bit of help with my kitchen diner in a very old cottage. I was very happy with how it turned out, it was really useful and help to focus my mind and also I got some further ideas”

“Water based eggshell is quite possibly the worst paint I’ve used in 20 years of decorating. This is my first time ever using this paint and will definitely be my last. Coverage/opacity is awful. Added 2/3days on the job”

Dear Liam Please could you contact us directly as we have no record of your purchase on our system, no record of you contacting us to help resolve this matter; therefore unfortunately no way of communicating with you! We would be only too pleased to advise you of best practice when using natural paint. We would like to know what material the eggshell paint is going onto and which primer you have used, as other primers with plastics in, create a barrier to natural products making them hard to adhere and cure. “After a two month search for the right pink, samples from yourself, Farrow & Ball, Paint and Liberty, Coats, Lick, Little Greene I finally settled on ‘cuisse de nymphe emue’ As my sitting room is so neutral I wanted to see a splash of colour through my glass door into the kitchen. I cannot tell you enough how happy I am with the colour. I haven’t used your paint before so was hesitant about moving away from my go to paint company. I rang you a couple of times for assistance. Both times I received the best customer service and advise. When I first bit the paint on I wasn’t sure. However, the paint is so complex (in a good way) it took two days to settle in. And, now I absolutely love it. It is the exact look that I wanted to create. Throughout the day in different light and shade it changes colour and atmosphere”

“I had a colour consultancy session to help decide paint colours for my tricky kitchen and Claire was so helpful and offered several suggestions, which took into account the other colours I have in the rest of the house, which is slowly being Edward Bulmered room by room!”

“The colour speaks for itself really. A simply fantastic green, the pictures do not do it justice in my opinion, you really have to see it in person to get the full impact. It goes on well, so far so good! My only gripe is that next-day delivery is available ONLY if you order before 12pm. I would also follow this up with a phone call to make sure that they can actually provide this service rather than just ordering online, as the paint is made to order. People at Edward Bulmer you really need to mention this on your delivery page please thank you!”

“We had excellent customer service from Edward Bulmer. Their support service is fantastic as we were really unsure of what colours to use in our new bathrooms. Delivery of samples to try and our final paint choice was spot on! Will definitely use again and would recommend to everyone. Particularly like the eco-friendless of their products and lack of plastic in their paint!”

“Like some others have said here, gorgeous colours but exceedingly poor endurance. To begin with the consultant was wonderful over the phone and email- suggesting colours for particular rooms and to match other paint companies. I also talked with the spokesperson over the phone to insure I selected the right paint for our kitchen cupboards and wood work as well. Then purchased the primer and paint directly and talked extensively with the decorator (who paints for high end kitchen suppliers) about the instructions. We loved the colour but within 6 months the paint had turned sticky and come off in multiple places, particularly anywhere with handles that get frequently used despite only ever using water to wipe down dirt. It also gets dirty looking and sticky where ever hands touch the paint. And it chipped off in other random places. This was with brand new cabinets. Similarly, the paint on the walls and doors have come off in many places, particularly if you try to wipe it, despite being on new plaster in many places. And painted on their primers. I tried contacting the company and never received a reply. Extremely disappointed considering the time and effort and cost. We can’t afford to do it all again. Will never ever use again and warn everyone considering it.”

“Painted a feature wall Indigo. Just love the depth of colour. Great coverage, low or no odour, easy to use and clean up after. And the website made it easy to compare colours which is a great feature so I am delighted with my choice.”

“Incredibly disappointed with the quality of this paint. The colour choices are gorgeous, however after only a couple of months my kitchen needed redecorating. I took advice from the brand on undercoat, however the wear on my units is appalling. I work away most of the week and live alone, so very little wear!”

“Recommended by an neighbour I ordered it and it arrived the next day. Great cover without any dripping and now everyone loves it . Sky blue is just such a soft calming colour and contrasts well with dove 40percent . Thanks will be back for more.”

“We love the paint and the colour, it’s the second room we’ve painted in Edward Bulmer paint. It’s expensive but so worth it , I’ll just have to keep saving for the next room. I keep finding myself just standing in the kitchen taking in the calm and warmth of the room. We used Spanish White on the ceiling and Clove on the walls to cover up a bright yellow that’s been on the walls for 20 years!”
