My son started erecting the new greenhouse on the cleared site of my old one, ploughing through the mammoth instruction pamphlet. All going too well only to discover some vital pieces to secure the roof panels missing. Phoned your customer services and spoke to a very pleasant young man and was promised the missing packet no problem. Thought this was too good to be true , but after a few days received the packet in the post.

“The greenhouse arrived in two boxes and was well packaged. The instructions were comprehensive but did lack detail in some places making it difficult to fully understand how things went together. If you purchased accessories such as shelving read those instructions before putting the greenhouse together as there is an advantage to adding the screws to the structure before adding the roof. All the parts are labelled and easily identified within the instructions except the panels themselves. The frame is easy to put together and the panels relatively easy to insert however it would be an advantage to protect the edges of the panels with some sort of tape which would also make it easier for insertion into their allocated slots. The back of the greenhouse has been made up of several panels which does not make sense as the whole thing would be more secure if the back was made up of fewer but longer panels. The instructions suggest a two man build I built it by myself over the period of a week. I used strips of duct tape to ensure the panels did not come out of the frame whilst assembling. The comment about the back doors and unnecessary individual panels also applies to the front doors. Each door comprises three panels when one large one pre-cut would be far better. I can only assume it’s cut to ease packaging and delivery. I purchased automatic window openers which work wonderfully however the black-and-white picture in the instructions do not really give a clear view of how to put the metal plate on the black ends. If they are not on the right way, it makes it difficult to attach the openers to the window. The instructions for the window openers say to disconnect them in wind conditions.however, it is not clear how one does this. I also purchased an anchor kit which consists of two wires that go over the top of the greenhouse and anchors it into the ground with ground spikes. The way of securing the wire is fiddly and the instructions are not clear how to wrap the wire around the metal that restricts movement. Although once figured out is easy to do. I have found that these wires need regular checking as they can loosen. In addition to the anchor kit, I’ve also used eight ground anchors each 12 inches long on the inside of the base. Despite the anchor kit and the ground spikes storm Dave ripped four roof panels and three back panels off the frame.. The roof panels were easy to put back in although annoying that you’ll have to undo screws and the bottom of each roof panel before replacing. The back panels were harder to do and again I had to undo the nuts on the uprights of the frame in order to put the panels back in. Having a tape on the edge of the panels may have helped them not to distort when they were ripped from the frame. They were bent and slightly damaged by the wind and I managed to get all but one edge in correctly . I have reinforced the panels with clear duct tape covering the panels and the frame and so far it’s held up against the winds. This can be assembled by one person taking time, however it would be so much easier with two people. Despite the anchors the whole frame moves in the slightest wind and gthe panels move in the slightest wind. The whole structure is flimsy and I’m not convinced it will weather the winter.”

“Delivery and construction was good but the Look good but is not “ man enough” to reliably carry people particularly if teenagers are running. The wood on the base of the bridge is too thin to trust.
Now it is simply an ornament and I had to find another solution to our bridge issue.”

“This took us 3 days to put up. It was the most complicated structure to put together. The doors didn't fit correctly and we had to really work at getting them to fit. We ended up with only 1 window opening as we couldn't get the second one to fit well enough to allow it to open. A lot of the wood was splintered and was badly cut. The final finished greenhouse is ok but has gaps in the frame which allows water in. Very disappointed for the price.”

“Was told that the greenhouse had been delivered and was sent a ‘photo’ of the delivered item at 8pm , so went searching in the dark outside, but the item was not there. Patronising customer service the next day. Delivered two weeks later by lovely driver. Instructions were so small we needed a magnifying glass , no labelling, no separate bags for different sized screws, flimsy hinges. Wood was average quality but a lot was staple gunned rather than properly put together. We needed to undo screws in an upright in order to make door fit, also had to plane another door for same reason. Gave up on having any opening roof windows as it was too difficult to work with bad quality hinges and didn’t have as many opening doors on sides for same reason. Very pleased with it now; it looks good, especially as we didn’t use poor quality and not very nice looking handles for doors. Would have been really disappointed if we had paid full advertised price; as it was the hassle was not really worth the money we paid. Not dead impressed by this company and certainly wouldn’t use them again.”
