“Delivery issues and cracked wood for our Christmas present play house for our kids. First only the panels of the playhouse were sent, no screws or facia etc. the customer service team were prompt and helpful, though the delivery of those items ended up taking too long to get to ours before Xmas for me to build the play house, so had to buy the screws myself so we had something built for Xmas day. Then getting ready to build the house, we noticed the front panel of the playhouse had a cracked in the wood. See photo. At this point it was way too late to get a replacement and felt I could use some brackets to support it so decided to continue with the build. Next we received the screws and handle etc but no facia kit. So had to contact the team again and then wait for them to send it out. Overall pretty poor apart from the polite Customer service team.”

“We have a Shire Hampton summerhouse. 8x8. My only real complaint is the build instructions are very poor. The text is too small and hard to read at the top of each page. It would help a lot if the part numbers in the instructions were marked on the sections. Especially for the six piece roof. I spent twelve years in Technical Publications at a prestige car manufacturer here in Newport Pagnell, so I know what is required with documents. Other than that, I am happy with the result.”

“I purchased a 8 x 6 Shire Sun Pent potting shed at a very competitive price which was delivered very promptly right to my garage door. All parts easy to idenify and good assembly instructions. On assembly (definitley 2 person job with power screwdrivers and a flat base) it turned out that the glass delivered was slightly the wrong size but on contacting Elbec they sent the right panes the next day. It's a good shed, takes a lot of painting though especially the window frames. I also placed it on top of extra 4" batons to give better protection to the floor joists. I'm hoping it gets good use for many years.”

“Product itself was excellent, delivery drivers were excellent when the product finally arrived. The administration and poor communication led to missed deliveries all of which was both stressful and time consuming for us. I did write a lengthy complaint and this was dealt with fairly I thought, although we had so obviously received such bad service I would have appreciated it if company had taken the step to compensate us rather than my having to write the complaint in the first place.”

“Product was as described and at a fair price. Delivery was as agreed.
We received conflicting advice on the timimng of the installation, resulting in the installer turning up at a different time to the one we were informed. He said that this always happened. So make sure you have someone at home the whole day.
Once installed a damaged panel was found which I am still waiting to be replaced.
Easy to speak to on the phone and seem to be eager to sort the issue out.”
