“Awful experience. The item I ordered arrived damaged, but I was charged £15 to return it despite the fact it only cost me £10 to have it delivered in the first place! Customer service was terrible. I feel very let down by Harlows. I will not be a returning customer.”

Good Morning, How are you? Firstly thank you for ordering from Harlow Timber, and taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your order. Elliotis ply is a strong product that is engineered to be structurally capable but not necessarily pretty, and we understood that having seen your order that you wanted something else, and agreed without quibble to accept a return for refund. Unless items are faulty it is our policy that the customer pays for return postage, or in turn we will organise this for you, and on this occasion you requested that we organise your return for you which we conducted promptly. Ad hoc collections are always slightly more expensive than delivery fees as this is a one off pick up rather than the multiple consignment collection that we conduct each afternoon to fulfill orders from our base. “Looked high and low for 7 lengths of 2.4m 16 x 75 mm (12x70 Finish) PAR Planed All Round Redwood Timber. Wickes...no, B&Q...no, Homebase...no. Then I found Harlow! Placed the order online and it was delivered 3 days later, all nice lengths, a few small knots but beautifully planed and smooth. Will definitely use Harlow again for all my timber!”

“I received no acknowledgement of order, no email, etc. I was surprised a week later to be emailed that the 3 metre piece of weatherboarding had been despatched. Once dispatched it can't be stopped. It arrived a day or two later, left at the side of a neighbour's house. I had been at home so there was no reason to leave it there.”

When an order is placed an automated order confirmation is sent to the email placed within form when placing th order. We are surprised to hear that you dod not recieve this, but depending on your junk / spam settings you may find this in your junk folder. We are pleased to hear that the delivery acknowledgment wassuccessfully recieved, as were the goods shortly afterwards. If the carrier is unable to gain a response whilst delivering the item they may ask a neighbour to take your package in for you if they are agreeable. We are pleased to hear that your neighbour agreed to accept your package on your behalf, and that you item was simple to locate.
