“All wood that was as ordered delivered on time. The only issue was some of the wood was covered in very dirty boot prints. As I was going to stain the wood this was not ideal”

“When ordering I booked a particular day for delivery when I know I'd be home but then when the materials were dispatched I was informed they'd arrive the day before which wasn't ideal. Door and frame came from two different suppliers which wasn't clear when ordering so I had gwo separate deliveries. The softwood internal door frame I ordered was very poor quality, badly warped and bent and with bits split off of the edge of one piece.”

We often supply doors direct from manufacturer in order to reduce the amount of handling and to ensure that your door reaches you in perfect condition and we apologise if this was not obvious to you upon shipment of order. “First time ordering online from Harlow’s all was easy but was promised an email from them on the Friday before the Monday delivery to confirm this, nothing came so rang Long watton on Saturday morning to be told delivery from Derby branch so needed to call them for update. Checked with Derby branch and confirmed Monday am delivery, timber actually arrived Monday at 2pm , received an email following day to say my delivery was on its way to me to arrive on the day after it came. As usual quality timber order correct but need to improve your house keeping.”

“Ordered with just over a weeks notice for delivery for a Monday, they emailed me with 1hr working notice to say it would be there till Wednesday, which then got re-scheduled to Thursday AM. Material didn't turn up till Friday PM! Lost a ton on downed labour, they didn't even cover the delivery cost as a renumeration!”

Good Morning Ben, How are you? Firstly thank you for ordering your requirements with Harlow Timber. We did unfortuntely have to amend your delivery date from the date you requested because upon inspection of the product avaialble we took the descision that this was not up to a standard we would wish to supply. We notified you of this by email the day before your order was due, and then resourced materials in a satisfactory condition and supplied them to you on the amended date 4 days later. We kept you updated by phone, and notified you with a despatch notification email when your order shipped. We apologise if this amendement lead to any frustration for you and your job, and thank you again for ordering from Harlow, and hope t oassist with your requirements again in the future. “sheets of 6mm marine ply arrived on time as agreed. Would have preferred to have had the external grain orientation running lengthwise or given the option. Somehow assumed that this was what would be delivered. However, plywood seems to be of good quality.”
