“You kindly suggested I use moisturising night goggles to help the cornea from drying over night after my surgery. This may be too early to tell as I have only used the goggles for a few nights, but the result seems astonishing. They are reasonably comfortable to wear and I’m sure this will get easier in time. Sleeping on either side does tend to push the goggles over but still keeps reasonably air tight. They certainly get fogged up, so you have to remove them if you get up in the night. When you took the bandage lens out on Tuesday the eye felt quite scratchy for a couple of days but no problems now. The image in the right eye is much clearer, denser, sharper on waking now. I would say the goggles are a success and have helped to iron out some of the problems of the right cornea with the night-time vacuum moisturising. The wipes are good and handy to clean out all the debris from the multitude of drops. Fingers crossed that this will help get the eyes back on track.
