“This course has two parts: a weekly video module that one views online followed by a live zoom QA session. Before taking the course, I read both Keystone CPA tax books and that helped me understand and apply the information from each weekly video module and zoom QA session to my rental investment goals. As such, I highly recommend reading the books beforehand and, if possible, reread each chapter after the weekly video module because the books seem to cover more details than the video modules, which are extremely helpful, but presented very quickly. As for the weekly live zoom QA sessions, they really helped apply what was in the books and videos to each participant's specific situation, and I think everyone found ways to save on their taxes after each session! Also, the class seemed to be limited in size, which gave everyone a chance to ask and get answers to specific scenarios; a definite learning experience for us all. I really appreciated the fact that we could ask questions during class via the zoom chat feature even if one was not able to post a question to the site beforehand because sometimes the class conversations sparked even more questions. Another added feature was the QA sessions were all recorded, so if one could not make the live session, it could be accessed at a later time. Finally, I found that all the supporting materials that were available to download in each weekly module really helped me to organize my rental-related expenses....a big plus! Overall, a great learning and investment experience!”

“The course was great! I was reading the “Book on tax Strategies” prior to starting, so it really helped while watching the additional video content and attending the live Q&A. I was really able to take away a lot, and the concept of actually planning for taxes resonated with me ie. STR’s, Legal entity structures and REP status were the most impactful to me. I saved all docs and feverishly took notes, but I think for me as someone who has/had zero experience in “tax strategies” in a course with people who were more fluent and experienced it maybe discouraged me a bit from asking as many questions as I would have liked. Also retention; I constantly go back through my notes and the book to review certain items, so maybe if the course had more interactive (multiple question or Yes/No quizzes on PP slides) to promote retention it would help on a future iteration of the course. Actually speaking about it now – it could be cool to conduct an introductory course for the “green investor” vs “experienced investor’ and allowing each individual to select a course depending on how they would define themselves.”

“I was looking for a Tax strategist when I ran into Amanda and Matt at Bigger Pockets podcast. At first, I thought it was more geared for someone who wants to become a CPA or had previous CPA experience. After meeting with Ivoire, I was sold! Not because of the 100% money guarantee but with the content of materials covered in this 6 weeks course. 1 weeks later, I learned a lot on maximazing my tax deduction that made it all worth the investment.
