“I was looking for an affordable, lazy and portable dual battery setup for the back of the Ute to make camping with the family a bit more comfortable, landed on the kickass 120ah lithium battery box with wiring package and their 170w solar panel. It’s excellent. I forgot to add an AC charger to cart before I checked out but the solar panel had the battery charged up even through the cloudy week we were having when it arrived. Once charged, I threw the battery and fridge in the dog box, solar panel up top, then I left it for a couple weeks to see how it goes just running off the solar. I haven’t even bothered wiring the battery box up to the Ute yet because the solar has kept the battery topped up without issue, might do that before the next big trip, but for now it’s all working perfectly! I even used the battery box in the backyard to run the beer fridge, lights and to keep the speaker charged when I’ve got the BBQ going. Would definitely recommend!”

“The issue lies not with the product itself but with the service level provided by KickAss. The delivery was subpar, with the item promised before Christmas (ordered 1st week Dec) but not arriving until nearly a month later, after Christmas. KickAss was unable to provide any tracking data or updates on the item's whereabouts.
Attempts to contact support and use the contact page were largely ignored, adding to the frustration.
While the products may be satisfactory, the service level is highly unsatisfactory”

“Purchased two rechargeable headtorches which arrived sooner than expected, which I took on my camping trip. The light output is very bright and lights up quite a large area, perfect for when I'm setting my cameras up for low light shoots. Would be great if the headtorches had a red light function otherwise they are a great light and take up very little space in my pack.”
“I opted for a kit that I changed to suit what I wanted which is an absolutely KickAss way of doing things.
It meant I could do away with the inverter I don't need and instead I could get a charger.
I'm only running a 37 Oztrail fridge with battery backup (bought it before the sale) but the 120Ah lithium is coping with it great and it's getting solar from a 110w panel.
I'm able to run my fridge indefintely with this setup and its awesome. I've always got long life staple foods and snacks in the car but now I've also got cold drinks!
I gave it a good test out this weekend just gone and with the fridge going plus some camp lights the battery only dropped to 94% before it got a boost from the panel.
I'll eventually fit an inverter to keep power up to my laptop when I go away with family as im planning on a projector so I can keep the kids entertained.
If I ever need more capacity I'll be grabbing an extra 120Ah lithium but I don't think I'll need one for a while yet.
I'll be adding bus bars to my system to tidy up the wiring and make future accessories easier to wire up but for now I am very happy and I will be buying more stuff in future.”
