“I like that you can choose the book from (mostly) new ones - as I often already own the book in other book box subscriptions. The extras are always fun and a good range of items from Bath and beauty, to food and drink. Who wouldn't want a monthly treat for self - for a pretty fair price across all the boxes available.”

“Nice idea for providing different books monthly, but the the subscription is incredibly expensive for what is received; the box is largely made of promotional items from other companies that are low cost or free to Love My Read, plus the book itself is low cost when paperback, consequently leaving a very high profit margin. If selecting outside of the book selection for that month, the website is incredibly hard to navigate to view all books available, to the point where it is impossible to know if you are selecting from the whole shop available. The subscription is a gift, otherwise I would not renew, nor purchase for or recommend to anybody else.”

“This has been such a lovely gift. Once or twice I had already the the book when I saw it reviewed in my newspaper weekend supplement and felt very smug. The little freebies are quite fun to get but are fairly peripheral to me and I would not be bothered if there were none. One criticism is that the one time I choose from the back catalogue, I was charged an £5 supplement after I had made my choice. Was not pleased and this seemed misleading. Another is that there is always a crime fiction novel . I rarely read crime so I feel that limits my choice. This month I have decided to skip a choice as nothing appeals to me so I will defer til next month. All in all it is a great service and a lovely gift.”

“I brought the book subscription for my 6 year old daughter as a Christmas gift. She was so excited when the box arrived. It was packaged really lovely, the snacks inside were great, especially as she is dairy free. The book itself is hardback and again perfect for her reading level (we chose age 7-10). She is already looking forward to next months arriving!”
