“Very, very disappointed in the service I received followed by the unprofessionalism in this company. Stay away from them!!! My new dryer has not been working so I had the manufacturer come out and look at it, they told me my ducts needed to be clean. I had a tech from Master Air Ducts come out, he cleaned the vent from inside my house installed something to make the duct stronger and replaced the duct hose, all of this costing >$1000 which I paid because I was desperate to resolve the issue, which the tech assured me it would. When my dryer still wasn’t working I had the manufacturer come out and look at it again who told me the pressure in the ducts is now worse. The tech from Master Air Dict didn’t even bother to measure the vent pressure after cleaning the vent, otherwise he would have seen that the issue was not resolved. I requested for Master Air Duct to send a different tech to give me a second opinion. When the original tech found out, he sent me texts and called me saying that I’m wrong and the dryer is the issue and not to have another tech come out, he also said that it’s probably the lint trap. A new tech found there was no airflow in the outside duct, the vent inside the ceiling was disconnected. They were charging me $3000 to repair this on top of the $1000. I had to push to get a discount, but did not move forward with the service because of the distrust I now have with the company I wanted a second opinion. I called several other companies who were outraged at the price and said this is way overpriced. I have been calling for over 2 weeks now requesting to speak with a manager about a refund, every time I call they tell me they can’t transfer me and a manager will call me right back, but they don’t. I am outraged and extremely frustrated with this service I received and the lack of client care. Stay away from Master Air Duct unless you want to spend thousands of dollars to have a worse issue.”

“It was an awful experience that I ever had with a company. I scheduled an appointment online where I saw that they charge $79 for vent duct cleaning. When the technician showed up , he said that the charge will be $249 because there is a lot of lint and that I need to replace the dryer vent kit . When I said to him that I dont want any more his services, he called his manager who agreed on reducing the price to $199 cash , since I had a vent kit in my garage that he installed. So I ended up paying g $199 cash so I don’t pay taxes , and the technician told me that I will receive my receipt in a little bit . Three days after and I didn’t receive my receipt, I called them twice and give them my email address and the same answer, a manager will reach out to you . Horrible experience, horrible service. I wish I had a deeper look into the reviews.”

“DID NOT CLEAR VENT I called for the $79 dryer vent cleaning. When they arrived they checked the vent and said it would need a deep clean for $250. If we paid cash they would not charge any sales tax. He proceeded to blow the duct from inside my laundry room to outside . He caused an incredible amount of dust and took no care or precautions to limit the mess. They left a mess inside and out. Didn’t even clean up large particles. I called the following week because the dryer wasn’t drying. He blew and vacuumed again, when he was finished I showed him the vent flaps were not opening at all, less air moving than before. He told me it was my dryer and to call a repairman. I paid additional 210 to have a dryer repairman tell me the duck was blocked with lint.”

“I chose to work with Master Air ducts because of the reviews. Unfortunately, the reviews did not at all reflect my experience. I scheduled my appointment on line. I chose dryer vent AND air duct cleaning. (I never received any air duct cleaning. It was never even mentioned by the technician.) The cost on line was $149. Nowhere (because I went back to look several times) does it say that additional charges may be charged and that the $149 is a basic price. In fact, the website uses words like “ CLEAR & HONEST PRICING No surprises, no gimmicks-just transparent pricing that covers all air duct services,”. Additionally their website states: “ FAST & RELIABLE SERVICE.” I waited to receive notification that they’d arrive by 11am, my scheduled time and through the two hour window at 1pm. I never received notification or communication. I had a work meeting and left at 1pm. I received a message at 1:50 telling me that had been trying to reach me. On my call registry, two calls marked spam arrived at 1:26 and 1:28pm. Why didn’t they leave a message? Why didn’t they text? “Spam calls” (the callers) are able leave messages/text, that but they never did letting me know who the caller was. The text message at 1:50pm also said that a technician was on the way in 1 hour and 50 minutes and to please reply to confirm. I did not confirm. The technician arrived anyway at my home by 1:47pm where my son was home. He knew I was getting work done. He was told that the dryer vent was going to be extra because of the build up. My son did not know what the price would be so he accepted the price. The cost was $349.00! It had to be paid cash or debit card before he started. My son didn’t sign anything and paid the technician in cash. After completing the service, he told my son that there’d be an additional $349 to rust-proof the dryer vent. By this time my son called me and I asked to speak to the technician. I told the technician that I never confirmed for him to come to my house and that he was over two hours late having left no messages of being delayed. I also did not agree to the cost he charged. He told me that my son was over 18 yrs and authorized to accept the charges. I told him that the practice was dishonest and that nowhere on the website were these additional costs listed. He never had my son sign anything and no receipt or service invoice were left. I personally called the company about eight times now trying to speak with a supervisor, owner, or manager. EACH time that I called, I was “promised” that someone would call me back by the end of the day or first thing the next morning. I specifically asked for them to leave a message or text me if I wasn’t able to pick up the phone because I’d be at work. The last time I called, 10 days ago, I spoke with a manager. She also promised me that she would call me back before the end of the day on Friday, August 22. I never received any messages. They tell me that they call but EVERY phone number that may have been them reads on my iPhone as SPAM CALLER. I don’t know if it is Master Air duct company calling or some other true spam caller. Each phone number is different from all the other numbers my iPhone notes as spam caller. No voice mail or text are left or sent. I am a pretty easy going customer and can be very reasonable but I do not understand this customer treatment. I read on the BBB almost exact complaints about the company that I have had. I still have never heard back from them. I have asked for the receipt/ service invoice and have never been sent one either.”

“We made an appointment with Master Air Duct based on their positive reviews and proximity to our home. They were quick to schedule an appointment and had good communication. There are two reasons for the lower review. One is that we were told it would be $79 for the dryer vent cleaning, but the technician informed us it would be $249 for a deep clean due to the amount of lint. This may be completely normal as an up charge based on how much lint was built up, but we were not expecting the significant price jump. The second reason is that when the technician left, he emptied out his vacuum into the grass next to his truck before driving away. We had to go out to clean up the mess that he left. We were shocked that he did this and are assuming (and hoping) that this is not a typical practice.”
