“DON’T USE THIS Company. They will charge you by any means even if you have policy in place. They use third party contractors and they won’t do anything and company will charge you for cancellation fee.”
“DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR MONEY!!!!! Broke down at Gloucester services and they would not even send anyone until I had found a garage locally to be towed to, the people they send are not mechanics, this is what the 2gether person told me. Smart @rsed at quoting all section this and subsection that while you and your family are in distress on your way to holiday. These people are parasites, AVOID.”
“Please never go to this company. You will be in big trouble if you buy their service. I have paid £978 for one recovery. Even after I paid so much money, it was very difficult to collect the vehicle. They took my vehicle and stored in a place in the middle of nowhere. And this recovery garage never pickup the phone. I say again please don’t buy any service from them. They are scam. They will rob your money. And even after payment you are still in trouble. I’m planning to sue against this fraud company.”
“*CAR BREAKDOWN*
Scammers do not use they will leave you high and dry and stranded
They do not cover you if you your car will not start if it hasn't started before basically left in the middle of nowhere offer to come out to me for an extra £140 plus parts absolute joke of a company do not use
READING THE OTHER POOR REVIEWS IT SEEMS THAT ALL THE POWER REVIEWS ARE FROM THE BREAKDOWN SIDE OF THINGS MAYBE THEY SHOULD LOOK AT THAT
NB Also extremely unhelpful on the telephone”
“Had a breakdown and this people didn’t provide me any service. I was having nationwide cover but as the breakdown happened on London and I live at Birmingham, they said they can only take the car for few miles. I agreed to take it to a relatives house in London but after waiting for 4 hours they said they cancelled the last agent and someone else will come at morning. I was on the road for the whole night with a disabled child but they didn’t care. Please don’t buy this scam , waste of money and time”
“This company should be avoided at all cost!! They may be cheap initially but if you need their "offered" services you will then find ot that they are "cheap and nasty!!"
Their so called UK Full cover is a sham! It is firstly recovery to a garage to see if the car can be repaired, you will have to source the garage yourself as they can't recommend one! Next, if you can get a garage to look at your car the same day and attempt repair, highly unlikely, you will be on your way. If not you will have to wait possibly days and only when your car is declared unrepairable will you get recovered to your home or garage local to you. If you don't want to do this you can pay personaly for a recovery, that they of course can arrange bless them, which in my case would've been just under £1100 for 112 miles!! The AA would've done the same recovery at personal cost to me for £500!!
After I had finished speaking to their charmless and sarcastic "robot like" operator I spoke to the AA, joined as an emergency member, also joining for the rest of the year which was £239 but from there on worth every penny as I was then in the hands of a professional organisation not a dodgy couldn't care less cowboy outfit like this!!”
“I am a female & was stuck alone on the M62, airport bound, at 02.30am when I had a blow out. I tried 4 times to contact them, no answer twice for just over 5 mins & twice for 15 mins. I kept hanging up due to my other half kept ringing me and also my friend. My other half fetched the other car so I could carry on my journey, he stayed with the car for 1.5 hours all the while trying to get through to them and got no answer either. He emailed a complaint to them and said he wanted a refund, sure enough they refunded him but got no reply at all to the email!”
“do not use unless you can see all faults rather than hear them. Ask a mechanic if this is reasonable too. If not don't touch these crooks with a barge pole..
Got left to limp home with a potentially lethal fault because it was hidden by a wheel cover.. Supercilious young man in call centre said won't turn out for 'just a noise' which turned out to be a serious fault. These guys are dangerous in my opinion”
“Has a breakdown and terrible service - thought had left lights on and as I said that they informed me they could not come out and would charge me £120 to send someone. The customer service was non-existent or the care. Asked for manager to call who did not until the next day”
“Broke down today flat battery after the stupid questions and 20 minutes on the phone gave up and walked to ats bought a battery and walked back and fitted it myself avoid at all cost joined green flag now”
“I called them when I broke down, the woman I spoke to couldn't understand where I was, or that I didn't have mobile coverage so couldn't go online to tap the link to locate me, then I spent 40 minutes on the phone to her explaining where I was, she told me I needed to recommend a garage, I said I didn't know because I was out of my local area, she kept asking the same questions and then hung up on me. I ended up calling out the AA, who came out an hour later. I had to pay a £150 call out fee then a joining fee, costing me £239, however at least I have decent cover now. Absolutely shocking customer service by 2gether”
“We have been waiting for them for 2 hours and they still haven't sent a recovery vehicle. Just stop to them again and they told us that it will be one more hour. We are worried that the workshop might close before we arrive there.”
“I had a highly disappointing experience with my car breakdown cover service recently. When my car broke down, I called for assistance, expecting the reliable help I was promised when I purchased the policy. However, I was informed that they wouldn't assist me because I was supposedly too close to a nearby garage.
This refusal to help in my time of need was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. The whole point of having breakdown cover is to receive support no matter where you are stranded, and this arbitrary decision left me feeling stranded and let down. I expected a lot more from a service that prides itself on providing peace of mind and reliability. I would not recommend this breakdown cover to anyone looking for dependable roadside assistance.”
“We broke down on 11 May 2024 and called the breakdown number.
Our first call was at 6pm. We got through after waiting in the queue for 10 minutes, then the agent said he was just going to check something, then put us on hold again, then cut us off at 6:30 without getting back to us.
We called again at 6:30 and waited 15 minutes for an agent to respond. The agent took our call-out payment of £30, and advised us that it may take about 2 hours.
At 8:30 we called again because nobody had come. Again we waited for an unacceptable amount of time before the call was finally answered. The agent said they would find out what was happening and put us on hold again. We waited on hold for 25 minutes and it became clear that once again, nobody was going to get back to us.
At 9:30 we called again, and somebody responded after 12 minutes . We explained the situation and the agent said she would put us on hold while she looked into it. We refused to be put on hold again and asked her to tell us what the situation was while we were still on the line. She got back to us very quickly, telling us that nobody was coming to assist us because they were unable to find a breakdown service anywhere in our area, and our request for breakdown assistance had been cancelled Nobody had contacted us to tell us that our breakdown request had been cancelled, we were just kept waiting. Also, I find it very hard to believe that a breakdown service can’t find breakdown assistance anywhere. So she told us to make our own way home and to call us the next day, instead, when we could begin the process again.
By now it was late at night. We had to get a taxi home which cost us £50. Of course we are not going to get another £50 taxi to repeat the process the next day! We have had to make arrangement for recovery of the car ourselves.
I am shocked that this company receives people’s money to create ‘breakdown policies’ which do not exist.
When I took out the Full UK policy I was promised Roadside assistance, Local Recovery, National Recovery, Home Start and Onward Travel option. I got nothing.
In summary, these are the reasons for our dissatisfaction
1. Excessive waiting time for call to be answered.
2. Being put on hold without anyone getting back to us.
3. Cancelling our recovery request but not informing us.
4. Inability to find a recovery service for us.
5. Shocking customer service with no concern for our safety or well being at being left stranded

“Hope I don't get any invoices but called them this morning. They took details and said they would ring back with a time for pick up. Rang back to say 60 minutes and breakdown turned up on time. Absolutely super service, couldn't fault them and I am very critical”
“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Paid for cover then never received any details of my policy or documents despite numerous emails to them. They don’t answer the phone either. Warning bells. As far as I was concerned, I had NO cover with them and after waiting 2 months to hear from them I took out a policy with a proper breakdown company - the RAC.
I asked my bank to arrange a Charge Back to return my money. It took about 6 weeks but I got my money back in full. 2Gether would also have had to pay the bank investigation fees so I hope that they learned a lesson.”
“Car got stuck in a soft verge, the back bumper of the car was literally 2ft off the tarmac but the driven front wheels were spinning through soft grass into the underlying soil. I tried to put boot mats under tyres and drive it out but it was just getting bogged deeper so I stopped before I beached it completely. Would be a very simple job to pull it out, just needed another vehicle and a towing strop, so rang 2Gether insurance and yes my policy was in place and valid, covered me and the car - but then the guy quoted me sub-section xyz123 of the policy which said it didn't include cover for the vehicle "immersed in mud, sand, water or snow". They could send someone out, but it would be £120 which I could pay over the phone now. I said no and started to dig the car out, someone passing saw me struggling and stopped, he had a canoe on the roof of his car and using the tie-down from that as a tow strop from my towing eye to his towbar the car popped-out immediately. If I'd crashed-off the road down a hillside and needed a specialist recovery vehicle with a winch to pull me out, fair enough but not covering this ? The policy was far cheaper than AA or RAC indeed, but if they won't actually help you without charging £120 then it's a waste of money - and you could be stuck without help in middle of nowhere in the night.”
