“On time delivery, lively chicks. Up until now, I've always found my chicks locally; this was my first time using a large, out of state hatchery. Very impressed with the wide selection of breeds. I may order again if I want something fancy.”

“My two pullets arrived in great shape. They are doing fine. The previous pulllets I got last winter have grown into beautiful egg layers, with one unfortunate mysterious fatlity which we never have resolved. Your company is very good . Thank-you.”

“This was my first hatchery purchase as I usually purchase from local breeders. I was nervous - especially with shipping. But - there was not a thing to be nervous over. It was the easiest transaction ever. The customer service is prompt and fantastic. I forgot to enter my email address on the order and therefore could not find it to track it- that was quickly addressed. Shipping was very fast and accurate. My chicks arrived the next day - packed well - healthy - alert - and very very cute. I also loved the variety of breeds available and being able to mix and match. Would not hesitate to order again or to recommend to others looking to purchase chicks.”

“I was apprehensive at the thought of 2 baby chicks being shipped by mail! But they arrived safely at my home on the day expected and were delightfully healthy and happy. I did notice that there was no water available to them in their shipping process so that was a worry, but they arrived in wonderful condition. I put them in the pen and they have adapted beautifully.”

“We received our My Pet Chicken six-week old pullets the second week in September. Harper (Buff Orpington), Pearl (Dominique) and Lily (Black Australorp) arrived comfortably packaged in a nice box carrier with wood shavings padding on the bottom. They looked very healthy. We ordered from My Pet Chicken (MPC) because it’s very important to us that the place our chickens come from has high standards for the treatment of the animals under their care. We have long used the detailed chicken advice on MPC’s website and appreciate the quality supplies that you carry. This time, and in the past, we used MPC’s breed descriptions to choose which ones we wanted. We only have one sweet 7 year-old bird left from our original flock. We love the eggs, but our chickens are also treasured pets that bring us joy and entertainment. By using the descriptions we matched what breeds would be perfect for us - sweet, docile girls who would be comfortable in Oregon’s winter. We like how MPC gave us instructions for how to prepare for our new girls and what precautions to take as well as how to introduce new birds to our flock (of one). We are just delighted with our new girls. We purchased them with an MPC gift certificate that my brother gave me for my birthday. Thank you My Pet Chicken!”

“One of the best things about My Pet Chicken was being able to purchase just one of each breed. Also their bantams could be bought sexed unlike most hatcheries. I just wanted hens, I already have three roosters and I wanted to add some unusual breeds to my flock. “The process was quick and easy. All 4 of my girls got here safely and are doing well the first week in. They are all curious but my Black Copper Marans are so friendly and love to sleep in my hands or use them as a perch. My blue splash are curious but more on the skittish side but still super sweet.”
