“I ordered two traditional wallpaper samples. I was impressed with the paper quality and will be ordering full roles of one of the samples because I love the print. I do feel the cost of the samples is high relative to competitors ($12 each plus $5 shipping, which makes ordering more samples and thus more wallpaper prohibitive) for such a small sample (8" x 8"). One of the prints I ordered was a larger scale and I wish the sample had been larger. There was also no tracking provided with my order.”

What I purchased vs. what I got - 4 stars (mainly because I received someone else’s samples and the second shipment had the wrong design included)
I initially purchased the following wallpaper samples: PEONY IN PIGEON, WHITE LEAVES IN SAGE and AVA FLORAL. I received all of these samples along with a second package which contained wallpaper samples of: GRETTA FLORAL and FAYE FLORAL.
The samples were beautiful and like others reported on here they appeared to be printed on a cardstock. I was interested in purchasing peel and stick so I reached out to the company by email and they responded the next day. Apparently I clicked on wallpaper which is the textured cardstock I received. They very kindly responded they would send me my same designs in the peel and stick. That was very generous of them bc I really wanted to see the quality of the peel and stick before spending $$$.
The second order was received and I received the following in peel in stick:
WHITE LEAVES IN SAGE, AVA FLORAL and PEONY IN INDIGO. It should have been Peony in Pigeon. In fairness to the company, they did send an email to me of what new samples would be shipped and I did see then that the Peony in Indigo was listed. I could have contacted them but I didn’t want them to make a fuss since I was getting these samples for free.
Quality of the Samples (4 stars)
Overall the quality is really good with the samples. As I have mentioned the wallpaper sample is a nice thick textured paper similar to card stock. The peel and stick also have a very nice woven finish. I reminds me of the super strong wallpaper you see in a commercial setting. It looks like it could take a beat and handle it.
One thing that is very much noticeable between the wallpaper and peel and stick is the scaling is different. The peel and stick designs are sized down so any kind of pattern will likely appear smaller and could be hard to see unless up close. It isn’t bad but noteworthy. And the company does call it out somewhat when they describe that the width of the wallpaper roll is 2.5 ft vs. the peel and stick roll is 2 ft.
The other major concern I had was with the colors printed between the two. You can clearly see a difference in the coloring in the Ava Floral. There is also some variation in the White Leaves in Sage too. I imagine these samples and the product itself is printed on design. So the first and second batch of samples were printed at different times. They were also printed on different products. These are things to take into consideration when ordering.
Processing/Shipping Time: 2 stars (sloooww to receive)

- Second order (peel and stick) was placed on 3/21, shipped on 3/27 and delivered on 3/31.
Will I order again from North and Finch?
Yes, I am planning to still order from the company. While there was missteps, none of these were dealbreakers for me. It is more about know ahead of time what to expect. I think the product is still good quality. The reason I have gone into such great detail is so others know what to expect and can plan accordingly.
