“Having used other educational providers since OC, I wouldn’t use them again. Course material is dated, minimal interaction from tutors. They are very much a “for profit” organisation, not a supportive educational establishment.”
Hello Sally,
We want to thank you for your review. Every piece of feedback gives us information on what is important to students and how we can improve.
We are working hard on improving our processes internally so all of our students feel supported and feedback like yours helps us do that.
We congratulate you on your graduation. Well done on remaining dedicated to your studies throughout your learning journey. We wish you all the best, as we continue to improve our student experience.
“The course itself was pretty straight forward. The content was in depth and the website was easy to follow.
I did not like how you had to complete 9 modules before being able to even start applying for work placements.
I was forced to complete my work placement in a short period of time, forcing me to take time off of my paid employment rather than doing it slowly, 1 day a week.
I also fell pregnant during my course and open colleges provided zero exceptions for me.
The course length was also cut short with no notice.
All in all, I completed my certificate but I wish I had just gone through TAFE.
I would not recommend open colleges.”
Hello Fiona,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. Every piece we receive helps us improve the student experience. We’re glad you found our website easy to follow, and that the course is fairly straight forward.
We have passed on your feedback about work placement, and we are going to review this internally, to make it a better, smoother experience for our students.
We apologise for the abrupt transition when your course was superseded. We clearly fell short here, and we will investigate this on your behalf to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
For now, we do wish to say that we are proud of you for pushing through and showing tremendous commitment and dedication to your studies. Congratulations on graduating and persevering. All the very best for your future.
