About PanoVolo:

Panorama Stitching Software for Windows and macOS

Visit Website
Just bought this software and it works beautifully! I was dreading having to purchase PTGui....expensive and sharp learning curve. Then I found PanoVolo...the price was awesome and it stitched together mini 4 pro pano like nobody's business. There were 2 tiny spots in the stitch that were a little funky, but I fixed them easily with the Generate Fill tool in Photoshop.

In itself, the results are not bad, but although I have a strong MacBook (64GB RAM) the program is very slow. The results are pretty decent, but especially when there are patterns with many lines, the overlap does not fit, and has to be corrected still in Photoshop or equivalent. Still, the end result, after correction is good enough to sell to a client. Compared to PTGui for example, the low cost makes up for the extra work. But, with AI now being a factor, there will be ample room for imrpovement also on the result side, as well as for the speed.

It works quite well for assembling your 360° panoramas, it's easy to use and doesn't cost much. The only downside is that it saves dng files in tiff format and not in jpg, so you have to use another program.

When purchasing i assumed it had HDR support as this seemed like a standard feature, however i learnt after using it that this was not the case. I feel that once this feature is there as well as an improved workflow from LR/PS then it would be a 5 star product

I have used PanoVolo to stitch photos taken by my DJI Drone. After a corruption in my SD card, I managed to retrieve the 137 photos taken with the drone's 70mm camera for a 360 panorama, but they came without the metadata that is so useful in stitching. PanoVolo still managed and did an amazing job, with only a few artifacts in the ocean. I was suprised how fast it did the job too! It can make the panorama using the RAW dng files and then produces a high-resolution 16 bit TIFF (2GB!) that is sutable for post adjustments. The developer answered my emailled questions personally and immediately, which is deeply appreciated. This is a briiliant piece of software that is ridiculously easy to use and yet produces outstanding results!

PanoVolo provides good value for your money. It does a great job stitching drone panoramas where more expensive software packages have some difficulty particularily in colour shifts between images in the sky. PanoVolo provides all the basic tools needed to stitch a high quality pano. I have had some difficulties with PanoVolo stitches on the Tele lenses on my Mavic 3 Pro drone. My other drones with a wide angle lens have not had any problems.

The stitching works, however the website is misguidding people. It is no better as the panorama that comes from your drone, since it has a low bitrate. After communicating the developer, it is confirmed that when stitching the photos, the original bitrate of the raw photos does not get retained. The final output is masked as a dng file, while having the qualities of a jpg, so not flexible to edit at all.

I had previously purchased another application costing around $250. It does not fill in the sky, nor does it attempt to blend the left and right sides. This often gives you an obvious seam where the images wraps around. Panovolo does both of these things quite well. It also does a nice job blending "flat" panos, better than some photo apps. So, for $30, it's a bargain.

Results are great. Product issues, takes lots of memory and crashes frequently (on Mac OS 15.2)

On the plus side it's not expensive at all. Better then most program and you can correct must of the mistake wich is a plus plus. On the negative side it's slow and with my old drone pictures often crash after making all the calculations and just before showing an image.

Very nice that it allows for batch processing and automaticallly fills the sky for a very raesonable price. The results have always been great with no issues to date. One thing I would like is for it to use the GPU. I'm assuming it isn't doing that simply because it is so much slower than other 360 stiching software I use. But...since I can batch process, it's not that big a deal as I can leave it doing its thing and come back later.

PanoVolo does a great job at stitching my panoramas together. There are occasional glitches, but far fewer than all of the free options, and I've tried them. Great job.
