Aggressive sales pitch,contestant phone calls requesting a deposit even before seeing any details.
Told me it was not company policy to send out brochures before a plan had been reserved.At my insistance they sent a brochure by email.
In the initial phone call I raised my concerns of taking out a policy before new
FCA regulations were initiated in July 22.
I was told not worry as "the company had applied ages ago".
On checking the FCA Prosperous Life are not registered to date.
I received persistent calls asking for payment and told them due to my findings I would not be proceeding.
Did that stop them,hell no!
Sure enough they rang four times yesterday morning before 12.30.
The first call I said I've been through this three times and have told you I wasn't interested.
The reply was "Sorry but we don't have a record of you!
So like a prat I apologised and clarified the name of the company and he said
"We are Prosperous Life are you sure you weren't dealing with Prosper Life before"
Being on the phone I really wasn't sure, so then the whole routine started again I'd been bamboozled!
On checking online there us no "Prosperous Life" company it was said to lower my guard.
This company appears to be driven only by sales with no compassion and it has to be said that most people making enquires will be of a certain age, some will be vulnerable and suseptable to bully boy tactics.

“Went online for a quote and straightaway I was called from various different numbers. I arranged a time for the advisor to call me as I explained I was at work and still loads of calls. Each time I blocked 1 number I would be called from another. Doesn't really bode well for a funeral service, seems they are only out to make money, will be sticking to someone more personal and professional”
“This company uses a bullying tactic to get you to pay a deposit, 3 phone calls 1 at 7-30 pm they never listen and all they want is to sell you a funeral plan but please don't say that word SELL as they don't like it, You can get cheaper plans else where just shop around but please stay away from this company”

No response to my emails and even though I have had notification that this policy has been cancelled I have took a day off work to try to get my money back due to the fact 9am - 5pm, just like myself, is the only way to actually speak to anyone. Twice today I have been promised a return call, one of which was supposed to be immediately after I put the phone down. It didn't happen. I have finally just two minutes ago, my third call (contacting them) that I will have my refund by the end of the week. We shall see!!! I will be writing another review if that doesn't happen.”

“I had Brendan in my studio space this morning in Edinburgh. I told him at the beginning of the meeting I was only ‘enquiring’ and had no intention of going with Prosperous Life until I contacted some other companies, he too used the word ‘enquiry’. After 1 1/2 hrs he was pulling out bits of paper for me to sign, telling me to make him another drink and phoning his colleague, turning up the phone quite loud, all inhibiting pressure tactics which rang alarm bells. I wasn’t signing anything and he was getting angry. Kept saying what can we do for you? I kept saying ‘ I want to think it over alone’, he said they’d have to arrange another visit if I wanted to ‘sign up’, didn’t like me pointing out it could be done electronically.because ‘that’s the way they work’. Yeah Brendan? Well it’s not the way I work . Total sales men masquerading as caring people.”
