“I was so looking forward to getting these landhirl dungarees. However, I was very disappointed. The material is horrible. Sending them back sadly!”

“Great site, bought a fantastic Harris tweed jacket in my regular size that allows a little room to swing my arms, but the jacket - though labelled as a 42" chest - fitted like a 46, more like an overcoat. Luckily, it's easy to return, sadly no other size seems available.”

Hi Adrian, thanks for your review. We'll take your feedback on board. Customers choose to wear these thick wool jackets in different ways so we do try to size them with some ease, unfortunate that it didn't work out this time. Our Harris jackets are all true vintage so our stock is based on what we're able to source.

“Well I purchased a Fairisle waistcoat and had to return it ,I ordered a xxl which is a standard size for all my tops Levi’s ,Fat Face ECT the itself was excellent quality fabulous material and a brilliant looking item ,sadly let down by size I would call it Large at best I think you would have to be in the program. The Borrowers. To get a shame as I really liked it conclusion buyers beware as it cost £9 to send back”

Hi Alan, thanks for your feedback. We do try our best to provide detailed measurements of our clothing in the description, as unfortunately a 2XL will mean different things at different shops. I'd always advise consulting our measurements and then measuring yourself to compare in future. We did check the returned piece of knitwear in case it was an error on our end and found it to be accurate to our sizing charts. Disappointing that it didn't work out this time but thanks for your kind words about the quality. Cheers!

“The trousers ordered didn’t fit very well so were returned, I was extremely annoyed to receive an email a few days after they were sent back from Revival Vintage saying there was no return label attached (it wasn’t in the original parcel) and that they believed the trousers had been washed !!!! But on this occasion a refund would be issued …. My husband would have made further orders but after this experience I doubt very much we will be using this company again …. Extremely disappointed”

We can only act on the information we have and the trousers were returned to us without the returns tag, which is why we were concerned. We did still refund the order as you've acknowledged however. Hi Hetty, thanks for your review. Glad to hear you're happy with your new Revival items. Unfortunately, customs charges are outside our control and are imposed by the national government of a buyer's country, though I do understand they can be frustrating.

“I bought the bag for my wife. Unfortunately a panel of wood was coming away which we'll have to glue back, and the mirror inside the lid was cracked - I can't see how that could have happened in transit as the mirror is stuck inside the lid and it was well packed. Quality control not the best perhaps? On the plus side my wife loves it, isn't too bothered about the mirror as she wouldn't use it, and doesn't want to go through the hassle of returning it as we can re-glue the panel.”

We always do our best to accurately reflect the condition of any true vintage items with our images, so we did have an image displaying the broken mirror on the product listing when you purchased this item. As it's a vintage item, it came to us with this damage, unfortunately. However, the wooden panel was not noted as loose when the bag was listed, so I suspect this damage did occur in transit which I can only apologise for. I'm glad to hear you'll still be able to make use of it however.

“I wear vintage clothing (pre-1960) because I am 5'-7" inches tall, and thin (30" waist) for an American male. The cut of vintage clothing fits me better and I find it more comfortable. I came upon Revival through hours of research, online. I am happy to find a source for new garments with the tailoring that I prefer. The a "Edwin" high waist chinos I ordered arrived promptly and were a perfect fit. The detailing of the pant is exquisite. Upon wearing, I received compliments at my office. The "Chuck" trousers, while a fine reproduction, did not fit at all. Though ordered in the same size as the "Edwin" chinos, the "Chuck" trousers were much smaller; two to three inches too small in the waist. I was unable to get them fastened with nothing left at all for drape. I am puzzled as to how there could be such a difference in sizing between the "Edwin" and the "Chuck" from the same source. Rather dissappointing. Nevertheless, I have faith that it was just an anomaly and Revival will yet become my favorite source for clothing. Thank you.”

We do our best to provide accurate sizing information for all our pieces, but of course you are welcome to return any items that don't fit as you'd like. With our own brand pieces we offer up to a UK size 22 or a US size 18/20 to cater to plus-size customers which may be worth exploring if you decide to purchase again.

“sizes did not come up as chart advised (and message person advised) so I had to send first order back and re order a smaller size which cost me nearly £10 to return and then re postage as spent less than free postage amount.”

Hi Jane, thanks for your feedback. My apologies that the sizing did not match expectations, we always do our best to advise customers carefully on sizing but every body is different. We have checked our size charts in response to this this morning and found them to be accurate. We don't charge for exchanging sizes within the UK, but as you received a refund and then placed a new order, our system didn't process it as an exchange. We ask customers to indicate on our returns form that they want to exchange their item so we can cover the postage for sending out the new size. “I bought a buff and dark brown herring bone patern newsboy hat size 57 which is wonderful and have already worn it several times as it is incredibly versatile and goes with lots of jacket and trouser combinations . I all so acquired a pair of maroon and white spotted braces too ware with my beautiful Made to measure grey flannel double breasted suit . Two great purchases of which I am very satisfied . Steven . “The spear point shirts are good quality and sharp looking. I’m a 16 34/35 5’10” and the 16” neck fit nicely. I will buy more shirts when the paycheck allows. The Granville Herringbone Wool Bag Trousers in Brown is made from excellent fabric. Love the trousers. I’m going to have to learn how to hem the pant legs. They are at the tailors getting hemmed. I Cannot wait to wear them. The waist size was quite close to true waist size. The Hugo Fishtail Back Trousers in Slate Grey On sale for $66 is an excellent price for excellent quality trousers. I will buy more colors, styles, and need suspenders and accessories so I will definitely be back. I’m hooked. We need to talk about allowing me to open up a Revival Vintage store, here in the states. Wink! I want to start a local “Vintage” Club here and gather Vintage folks to join me for dinner and outings at the park etc. I went to a City Chamber of Commerce banquet recently. All the modern suits looked robotically the same and severely bored me. Next time, I’m going all vintage and will enjoy dressed in an exciting style almost lost to the ages. Thank you Revival V. I did compare our stock in hand to our website images in response to this review, and I found them to be accurate in depicting the bright green colour of the dress in good lighting. “Pleased with the item. The let down for me was the label that stated 'handmade in poland'. I surmised from the company, and the item described, that I was purchasing an item handmade in Scotland with Scottish wool, handworked in Scotland. As a fleece processor and spinner I understand the handworked in Scotland. But nowhere did I read the wool was then sent to Poland ! When all I wanted was a Fair Isle processed and knitted in Scotland as they ought to be.”
