“My original Pure worked reliably for 5 years until the charger or battery failed. The replacement Pure is not very good. When it works its great but it keeps freezing and also likes to reboot itself every 10 to 20 minutes which is not good.”
“My pure one has performed well although a mobile speed camera on the caterham by pass heading towards the M25 has not been logged.
Also on the M25 approaching junction 10 heading towards A3 clockwise the device locked up
But overall it’s performed as expected”
“Road Angel dashcam is really good gives Brill wide views through front camera/mirror. But after my purchase I found rear cable was 20cm short and I had pay a further 39.99 for a 5ft rear cable no other option given and 9.95 to get it delivered quickly . Personally when I choose this dashcam I was assuming that the cables be long enough to fit any vehicles. Longer cable had to be bought through road angel or guarantee invalidated . 5ft cable to cover 20cm !!!”

“Communications aren't transparent. Faulty device is returned but they won't tell you what was wrong with it or how it was fixed. Support desk is outsourced.
Costs of devices, accessories and subscriptions, in hindsight, probably not worth it especially as alternatives such as Waze are available.”
“Disorganised ordering with fitting at Halfords. Link provided to Halfords didn’t work, once sorted there were no booking slots, can’t call local store so visited to be told they only fit Halfords sold units, once that sorted Halfords then needed car to inspect for suitability first before booking the fitting at a second visit. Instead went with mobile fitting service outsourced to RS Connect which was more expensive but they did a good job (so extra star).
No user manual for the unit purchased, RoadAngel advised it not written yet. They provided a draft version which had couple useful bits but clearly short of decent quality.”
“After several months of realising that the Pure One does not work properly with heated windscreens, the change to a Pure V2 has been successful. It works very well. I think RA should inform buyers of the issue because it did cause hassle and 2 returned units before the solution was found. However, the tech team sorted it and now a happy customer, again!”

“Pure one is slow to up date changes of speep limit. Disappointing that on the fist day of using the unit with a £149 subscription that average speed cameras on the M53 and the 50 mph was not listed. As well as this I also found the speed limit on the A5 was incorrect just after Llangollen. The advanced warning only appears to be 400mm despite setting at 1000m. Lot of money for below average performance”
“pretty good. when it works.... Sometimes takes ages finding satellites and the app sometimes doesn't connect if you want to make changes. Would be good if there was more options for the alerts (for example be good not to have the beeps continuously for cameras... But it's good!”

“After a phone call asking if they could replace the battery in my Road Angel Pure I was told yes for £120 they send me a return lable posted on a Monday it was returned back to me on the following Saturday when I checked out my return I found it wasn't the same one I sent to them it was ither a recoditiond one or a new one witch works great so thanks for a great service.”
“I have been a Road Angle customer for over 20 years and have used a number of their products unfortunatley in my experience they release new products without fully testing the software and appear to rely on customer use to iron out problems which is quite frustrating.
I have just purchased a new Road Angle Pure ONE and I hope that the road speed information will be more accurate that on my previous Road Angle Pure which was not as accurate as the installed road speed on my Volvo XC60 when changing into a different road speed area.
Also the annual subscription costs have risen substantially for information that is feely available on Waze which will make me take a long hard look at what its value is against the possible risk of getting a speeding fine when my current subscription ends
On the plus side the customer technical supportb has improved and I have found them very patient when advising how to set up the new App for the Pure One speed camera”
