About ScratchSleeves:

ScratchSleeves are invaluable in coping with itchy, scratchy babies and children. The smooth silk mitts minimise damage, allowing your little one's skin time to heal, while the sleeve design ensures that ScratchSleeves stay firmly in place. Stopping babies, toddlers and young children scratching themselves can be a real challenge, especially as they get older and can take off traditional scratch mitts.

ScratchSleeves are effective for all sorts of scratching and irritation including eczema, chicken pox, scab-picking, post-operative healing, ear pulling and poking, overly enthusiastic thumb sucking and even hair pulling.

“The best find ever! Bought for my son who has really bad eczema which would wake him constantly through the night and leave him red raw in all his joints. Now with the Scratchsleeves PJ top neither of us are woken up and his eczema has become a lot better!”

“Purchased these for my 18 month old who has developed a habit of pulling her hair out. I put them on her at nap times and bedtime as this is when she tends to it as a form of self soothing and so far they have put a stop to it so I'm really pleased. They feel very well made and are a nice lightweight fabric. I bought the cross over valcro ones, and they have two separate valcro points so they don't come off. Overall I'm really happy and would definitely recommend ScratchSleeves. Oh and quick delivery too so that was a bonus.”

“My son suffers from eczema on his head/face and scratches in his sleep, making it worse. Normal, cotton scratch mitts weren't working as he was still able to get some friction against his skin and it became more pink and inflamed. ScratchSleeves' soft, natural silk hand pockets mean that my son is unable to get any friction to scratch at all, and the natural fibres both in the silk mitts and cotton sleeves caused no allergy whatsoever. Shipping and delivery was fast, these have helped my son's skin to heal. I'm so happy we found ScratchSleeves!”

“My son suffers from eczema, mostly on his chin and he was scratching so much, especially in the night he was taking lumps of skin out of his chin and getting skin infection again and again. My husband and I were at our wits end then this company was recommended to me. They have been a lifesaver for us. He does still scratch at night but because of the soft material (silk gloves) he doesn’t do half as much damage as before. He loves wearing his “glovies” PJ top. His chin is just so much better. We haven’t needed medication to help deal with the outbreaks for months. We just use an eczema cream stick for his chin and it’s make the world of difference. We’ve had lots of comments from friends and family about how good his chin is looking and it’s mostly down to these!”

“Great aid to help stop our grandson from scratching his skin, although he's a very small 4 yr old the 4-5yrs size fits well. They are easy to put on him even when he's asleep. When he has a flare up he has to wear them all day even at school, he's learned to do most activities at school wearing them, but projects obviously puts the scratch sleeves under a lot of pressure. Although they do wash and wear fairly well he has had many many pairs...”

“We found the Scratch Sleeves site when looking for a solution to my first son scratching his skin as a baby. Continued to visit every since. Was very excited to see some new designs added. Particularly liked the design where they can unfold the scratch mitt to let their hands out when reading at bed time and then tuck their hand away when it’s time to sleep. This has really helped and provided them with a more ‘grown up’ solution as they are getting older. Wonderful also to see an expansion in the Size range to cater all the way up to Adult. Service as ever was tip-top during our last order. Highly recommended.”

“The quality of the Scratch Sleeves is very good. My daughter has bad eczema flare ups on her face and it is very challenging to get her nails cut or filed down. The Scratch Sleeves have made a massive improvement by shielding her face from her hands gently and allowing her skin to try to heal. She has three different styles, the vest, the sleeve, and the sleeve that velcroes closed like a cardigan and I find they all have a use depending on how I want to dress her that day. They also arrive super quickly. Thanks so much for creating these.”

“What I like about scratchsleeves is that once I got in touch to say their normal scratchsleeves weren't working for my granddaughter (she manages to claw her hands up inside the sleeves, go over the top of the silk part and make holes in it) They were all too willing to make up a custom made pair for her. It's a long and arduous journey with eczema. Awful for the child or adult that has it. Made better when their are options to help.”

“Best purchase! Our little one suffers from severe ezcema and someone recommended we get her this. She’s been wearing one since she was about 10 weeks old and is now 9months. As soon as we put the sleeve on, she completely forgets to scratch and doesn’t. It’s so much easier than mitts that don’t stay on. She can still grab her toys and play with them whilst she has a sleeve on which is a huge plus. The silk part on the hands is such an amazing aspect as it is gentle on her skin when she rubs her face. We have just purchased another bigger sleeve and a wrap one. Happy with both.”

“Purchased a sleep vest for my daughter who sucks her thumb and rips her hair out, this was my last resort and it has been amazing, no more ripping her hair out in her sleep, the vest is amazing quality, super soft! “Life changing. Our daughter has been pulling her hair out for some time. It started as a little bit when she was teething but has gotten much worse. I had some hesitation as she sucks her thumb, but honestly she took to it really quickly. It’s been a week and for the first time in over a year she hasn’t pulled her hair out. So pleased, thank you x”
