“Flimsy on the side panels of my 6x4 shiplap You have to use your own initiative to screw roof down where side panels are bolted together. Also roof beam far too much movement so either put a piece in yourself where roof panels meet or bend some L brackets and screw them together.otherwise no vent through wind etc will split your roof felt”

“We bought a Shire Balsam Arbour I was surprised that I had to drill a lot of holes, and very surprised that I was required to apply two coats of preservative to qualify for the warranty. Worse than both of those was the quality. In particular. The triangular piece that finds the rear of the apex and the piece that forms the main back were irregularly sawn, making a neat join between them impossible. I did the best adjustments I could with a rasp, but am still not very happy with the result.”

To allow joints to close properly we recommend pre-drilling holes, if screws are applied correctly their will not be gaps between panels. “Disappointed with the quality of this shed. Very basic. Arrived with some of the window fittings broken and other screws have subsequently snapped. Need additional attention to put these things right.”

“Only just put the seat up - its perfect, just what we wanted in the space. Its well made and fairly simple to put up, the instructions were okay. It could have done with having pre drilled holes just to help.”

“Sides of building do not level up for the roof planks. Subfloor bearers are to far apart & the floor boards split; therefore needing additional bearers at my COST! Also the window stays were missing & the glazing beads were the wrong length for the entry doors! Both of these were replaced by the supplier. Not ideal, but okay for the advertised price; should have been right regardless.”

“Overall, we are pleased with our gazebo. Erection went smoothly but was a struggle - especially the roof which require bracing in order for just two of us to lift it. We also used work benches to support the roof on its journey to the top of the sides. Some of the instructions are a little confusing and the photos aren't the clearest. I have had contact with Shire about this. We bought from Elbec because the price was more reasonable although this possibly meant having a 'seconds' structure as some of the pieces were split and the gaping between the slats on the floor isn't even. Delivery was excellent and the driver even gave advice on putting the roof up complete so it fits properly as its tempting to put it up piece by piece.”

“Personally i wish i had never purchased this shed very poorly manufactured. The walls of the shed are very thin with holes and slits already in them, see photos. 2 of the floor panels were not square so when you butt them together the overall shape is not the rectagulare shape of the shed it should be, leaving a bap at 1 end of the buttment, it was out of sync by 6cm which could only be brought down to 2cm by brute force. The larger wall panels were also out of square by a 2cm, again causing issues only rectified by using force. All of the above then made the roof panels not fit corrctly to the roof support beams, 1 is missing the beam by 3 cm 1 end when correctly installed at the other. Do not think i am a bodger who has no clue on construction, i am a mechanical design engineer who works airbus. I wish i had listened to a work colleague who has had the same issues with a shire shed. The shed is now destroyed and where it should be, at the reclamation centre. I purchased the shed i was originally going to but, it went together in half the time and with no issues. Would i recommend, NO Woulid i buy again, NO”

“Overall structure is pretty good, easy to follow instructions. However, the roof boards weren't wide enough to cover roof completely and had to add my own wood to cover gap. The beading for the window frame was also too long and I had to cut it to make it fit. But for the price and sturdy structure im very happy”

“Cancelled delivery on the morning of stated delivery, postponed to a later date meaning I lost two days work/wages Build quality of panels not the best,warped rail on side panel,splits in some timbers,only one key fits the lock, I realise it's a budget shed but I'm not happy”

“Great quality timber and finish of all components, tongue and groove, made to last, better than most shiplap sheds available. Really helpful delivery driver who was happy in his job even after driving nearly half way across uk. You can buy a cheaper one but you wont get value for money or craftsmanship like this”
