“They're good quality, perhaps a little tight. I bought a medium for a size 9 and they're not as stretchy as some other running socks.
Also feel little overprices now that they have arrived.
I prefer other brands.”
“Sums sock are very tight fitting but comfortable. They have little pads underneath at the forefoot and heel to prevent feet from moving in the shoe which do seem to work. However, my little bugbear with these socks, and other companies that make a similar claim, is regarding being anti blister. I used these socks during a 100 mile ultra, and guess what, I got blisters. In the same place on both feet where I have previously had blisters on ultra runs. I've tried different companies socks, with the same results. So I'd say these socks too are not anti blister. I've yet to find a sock which truly is anti blister, does such a thing actually exist!”
“I bought these socks after my preferred brand changed their blister socks leaving me looking around for alternatives. Initially when I opened the packet I was skeptical - the socks looked thin and flimsy and different to what I'd been wearing. However I tried them on a short run and they felt good, a bit different (the rubbery non slip grip was a new sensation) and since then I've been rotating them in with my other socks with good results. I especially like them on hot days when I don't want to wear a thick sock. I've washed them several times and no signs of wear or degrading so I'm happy. I like that it has the big logo on the back, that looks cool.”
“Recently worn on a 50 mile ultra marathon. These socks were simply amazing! Super comfortable, and the fit was perfect. Due to this I had no blisters on my feet at all.
I will definitely be getting and using Sums socks for any events in the future.”
“After just 1 wear I can declare that I LOVE these socks! I've tried out so many different brands and these are perfect. Just the right amount of cushioning and thickness, breathable, soft and supportive. Love the colourway too. Will be back for more!”
“Bought a pair after some horrific blisters from when I started running. 100k later, these socks have done exactly what they said on the tin. Highlt recommend.”
“I am so disappointed as I had expected to really like these socks. I found the wording of the advert very misleading and so after paying £34 I was very surprised and disappointed that my parcel contained only 2 pairs of socks. I had expected that £17 was for two pairs and not each !! Anyway I tried them on and oh my goodness they virtually cut the circulation off in my feet they are so tight !! They should be advertised as compression socks. And yes before you ask I did order the right size. They are so tight I can barely get my feet into them. So disappointed.”
“Super comfy, big fan of these. 9 pairs over 1.5 years, no risk of blistering from my experience. Only issue is on a recent pair, I find the elastic very tight/cheap feeling around the top of the sock, unlike any of the other pairs.”
“I recently ordered some Sums for the third time and really like the latest socks. The first pair, which are thick cotton ones and very comfortable, have ripped at the quarter seam by the ankle. The second pair have become almost impossible to put on as the fabric has become so tight, but the third pair are top drawer. Elasticated, mid-shin and comfortable, not to say really stylish. Well played, Sums!”
