“There were eight of us on this trip,we found the rooms spacious clean and great value. The hotel its self was good just a shame the pool was so cold,gardens and all areas of the hotel were good and well kept. The Resturant was ok but a lot of work needs to be done to improve the menu and the food could be better. We had the chance of two free meals with our accommodation but only used one as the basic menue was very poor, I would recommend only offering one meal free but from the alocart. All that said we are all eight of us planning to return next year, the staff were great and looked after U.S. Very well. Regards david Stubbings”

“I was very disappointed with my first experience of Your Golf Travel as I found the booking process very unprofessional. I contacted them as I was interested in booking a short golf break. I was initially quoted the price I anticipated paying and the agent told me that he would check on the availability of tee times and call me back. I received the call back a few minutes later and selected the tee times I wanted. I was happy to proceed and the call handler asked me what price he initially quoted and I told him. He said that the actual price was cheaper and took payment. He did not reconfirm any of the details and just as I was hanging up he remembered that he had not read me the Terms and Conditions. On receiving the email confirmation, I noted that the booking was for completely the wrong date. I called back to advise of the error and after a number of telephone calls the booking was corrected. I am still awaiting an apology for their error and for the time that I have wasted in amending the booking. I have used other travel services before, and by comparison, this experience was very poor and amateurish. There is either no formal procedure in place for reconfirming the details of a booking or it was simply not followed in my case.”

“Our party arrived at Caldersfields Golf Hotel on Sunday 21st June, to find the place extremely busy. It was Fathers day, and lots of people were making use of the carvery in the clubhouse. Despite being busy, we were given a friendly efficient welcome, and soon had a cold pint in our hands. The clubhouse was well laid out, with a Golfers area separate from the main restaurant area. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent, and served with a smile. Our accommodation was excellent. The "Log" Cabins were very comfortable, with a very nice bathroom, with walk in shower, and spacious. The golf course itself was in great condition. Very flat, with lots of trees. The greens were very well maintained, as was the whole course. Some very nice water features, were you can also go fishing. We were there for 5 nights, and found the course to be challenging enough to keep us interested for 6 rounds. Members were out first each day, with residents and visitors starting out at 10.00am. We went out on a few evenings, to Aldridge. Not much there, but the Witherspoons was very good and interesting, as it was a converted theatre / picture house with original features kept. This was my first time using your golf travel, and have to say I was very impressed with the efficiency of Paul Gartland. I had only posted an interest approx five minutes, before I received a call from Paul, who gave sound advice, and recommended Caldersfield. We were impressed enough, to have already made next years booking through Paul.”

“We have booked through YGT on several occasions for golfing breaks here in Spain where we live. They have all been exceptional value giving first class accommodation and golf. We are in the UK later in the year and have booked a one night/ 2 rounds break at McDonald's Portal Golf and Spa. As always, the arrangements through YGT were completed with no hassle.”

“I tend to use Richard Van De Putt for all my bookings. I just send him an email with all the data required including the names of the parties going and he emails me back with the quote and the tee off times. I just then call him to give him a credit card number. It is very quick, easy and efficient. Thank you Richard for your prompt and friendly service as always. Kind regards - Peter Mico”
