A bit daunting as I've not laid vinyl before, this thick stuff seemed to be more foregiving. Went down nice and flat after a night laid out in the living room. Cutting takes some thinking. I imagine if you do it every day it might be easier, but made a few mistakes. e.g. holding the stanley knife vertical when I should of held it at 45' degrees, which means the knife follows the wall edge, where as vertical it can go off course really easy. Used a broad bolster chisel to force it into the edges which worked well. I cut out a rough shape of the kitchen whilst flat in the living room, then put it in place and slowly nibbled and trimmed it into place. The tape round the edges made it really easy to stick in place, as you put all the tape in place and then remove the backing tape bit by bit once the flooring is flat. Would have been cheaper if I had used two pieces, but it replaces a floor that was like that, which had developed and unsighly gap where dirt and liquids always found. Where I mucked up the cutting a bit of trim covered up my sins nicely. Tip for doing that is only stick one edge with double sided tape.
