These coilovers are a great upgrade to my 98 b5 a4 1.8t. I replaced the original suspension which the rear had cracked springs, and it sat way too high. Body roll had been dramatically decreased. I drove the car 1600 miles with the stock suspension on a road trip, and then installed the coilovers, and drove back. The 1600 miles drive back with the BC Racing Coilovers was fantastic, even with the car slammed. Fronts: With the regular height adjusting collars lowered as much as we could for clearance, and the lower adjusting threaded body at stock 80mm length, we still needed to lower it a bit more for the look we wanted. We dropped the stock 80mm length to 67mm (top of the weld/bottom of threads to the bottom of the body). We still cleared the axle just fine. We were also able to install them without removing the triangular control arm mount in the top. NOTE: These coilovers DO NOT use the OEM Strut Bushing/Bearing, they have a bearing/bushing built into the strut hat mechanism. Here are some before and after pictures.
