My wife and I, mid-seventies, tried out our new tent last weekend. It pretty much lived up to expectations - very quick to erect, plenty of ventilation, easy to unpack and store etc. It was nice to have a bit of room after years of crawling into Mozzie domes. Only reservations would be - the fly, which takes longer to erect than the tent itself (not shown in the photo below and not sure how necessary it is in normal conditions ) and the steel tent pegs which seem unnecessarily heavy and will need to be supplemented or replaced with plastic pegs more suitable for the sandy conditions we generally encounter. Also, it will definitely need a groundsheet of some kind to protect the rather thin floor. Without the fly and tent pegs, stored separately, it was light enough to lift onto the roof rack of our old 4WD without much trouble - significantly lighter, I imagine, than the canvas version. As to longevity of zips etc, I guess time will tell, but it seems like a well made product. So all in all we are very happy with it.
