After having the galbraith smock for around 2 weeks now, and have taken it on a number of fishing and shooting trips, I can definitely say that this jacket is a very useful addition to your wardrobe. It certainly keeps the wind out, and the addition of the elastic draw strings on both hood and waist helps keep the gusts out. So far I am very impressed with the waterproofing also, although I have found that it takes a considerable amount of time to dry out once sodden. It is not a warm coat, obviously, but when paired with a good gilet or fleece, it has been ideal in these recent spring winds and showers. Highly recommend!
