After extensive research into finding the best water purification system, I realised that many popular brands, such as the Virgin Pure T7, do not filter out harmful chemicals like pharmaceutical residues and fluoride. I explored alternatives, including clay filters and the Berkey system, but I wanted to support a UK-based brand. This led me to Dalton Water, known for its ceramic filters. However, I discovered that these also failed to filter out many harmful substances, which made me question their practicality.
It was during this deeper search that I discovered Osmio Water, which uses a reverse osmosis system. I was already familiar with reverse osmosis but didn’t want the hassle of an under-sink system. Having grown used to the convenience of instant boiling water, I was hesitant. After reading reviews on Trustpilot, I noticed that most of the negative comments focused on the founder, Mark, which gave me pause, but I decided to research further.
After watching Mark’s videos on YouTube, I understood his passion for the product and its mission. His enthusiasm resonated with me. People often misunderstand driven individuals, but I felt reassured that Osmio’s products were in good hands.
I purchased the Osmio Fusion as I didn’t want to deal with refilling a tank like the Zero version, and I’m glad I did. The delivery was prompt, handled professionally by DPD. However, the installation process was initially frustrating due to a lack of instructions in the box. I downloaded the manual, but it was outdated and unclear, which is an area that could definitely use improvement. Despite my experience with home repairs and maintenance, I struggled to figure it out on my own.
Thankfully, Osmio’s customer service was fantastic. Mark and Irina were incredibly responsive and helpful. Their guidance made the installation process much easier once I reached out for assistance.
Interestingly, before setting up the Fusion, I came across a second-hand Osmio Zero on Facebook Marketplace for £150. I bought it as a temporary solution and later sold it for £250 after three weeks. Using both models, I can confidently say that the Fusion is superior. It’s more compact and efficient, making it a better choice for us.
Another standout product from Osmio is their Sanser sanitiser, which has been life-changing. It eliminates the need to buy harmful chemical cleaners as it uses just salt and water to create an effective, eco-friendly cleaning solution. We were so impressed that we bought 10 more units at a discounted rate to gift to friends and family for Christmas.
Additionally, we purchased the Vitafresh shower head with vitamin C cartridges, which has significantly improved our showering experience. Looking ahead, we’re considering a water softener, though we’ll need to assess installation logistics in our high-rise apartment.
Overall, Osmio is a forward-thinking company with innovative, high-quality products. While their manual and instructions could use improvement, their excellent customer service and effective products more than make up for it. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to invest in Osmio, and I’m excited to explore more of their offerings in the future. Highly recommend!
