I wanted try out a red dot sight before investing the money in milling a slide. This was a perfect way to do that. I used a sight pusher to remove the rear sight. The plate is too low to use my pusher to mount it. I used a vise to hold the slide and tapped it in. It seems firmly and the set screw locks it in place. I’ve only shot 200 rounds through it, but it’s done exactly what I hoped for.
